My first time going to BEB. Got hooked up through a freind, so we rolled in with Infected Mushroom, so little to say, there was no wait. I had an amazing time. Ferry was amazing, Armin was pretty good, and by the time Menno came on, I was dead tired. The decorations and lights could have definately used some work. I guess cause I got in for free and had VIP, I might have had a better experience than a lot of peeps on here. The women were absolutely amazing! By far the greatest amount of beautiful women I have seen at any party! I got to meet/hang out with Infected, Ferry, Armin and Menno, so that was pretty sick! I think the space was awesome, similar to Kool Haus in Toronto, but at least 5 times as big. Loved the roaming space between the two rooms, massage tables, etc. Too bad about the speaker blowing for Armin, but his set was average at best. I used to be the biggest Armin fan, but over the past 2 years, everytime I see Ferry, he kills it! I will definately be going back in 2009. I have some pics, please mind my eyes, lmao. http://profile.**************/user/sherman66/

torontotrncelvr: Upload them on any ftp or IMGshack or something and then press the IMG button when making a post and insert the link there.

hahah same here. It's like "Oh god, we've made a huge mistake." and then you try to casually back away from the Man-train without looking terrified and offending all the gays.

fine, lets drop 2 letters and make it Tech - happy now? :-)

For those expecting to see the Tribal Victor, they probably left disappointed, or even those expecting to see the tribal-minimal-tech phase he had in the last part of 2007. Victor has gone all the way tech now, and I love it. I don't think it is easy to pack a whole set in 3 hours, and Victor did it in a very evolving manner, too bad i was too tired to dance the last hour of his set.

Calderone owned bal en blanc 14.

Cedric Gervais was not too bad either! I was quite surprised. He got the party going with some great tracks and didn't play cheezy at all.

Disapointed by Ferry's set. Too many up and downs, too melodic, and the vocals.... Not my bag, I like tech trance, maybe it was too early for those tracks. But I must admit his mixing was really tight.

Checked out the last hour of Guetta after he had played all his commercial hits, to see if he was gonna spin some more underground stuff. He did but only a few good songs. Average mixing too it seemed...

Then Offer Nissim came on, this diva-DJ is a fuckn disgrace, he was horrible for the little bit I could actually endure. We needed a solid set to get the party going in the house and he failed miserably. Even the gays told me they hated it.

So I then caught up to Armin who had disapointed me at Sensation, I was very impressed this time, very tech, exactly what I actually like in Trance. It was banging, it was pretty good for what I heard.

9AM. Victor Calderone comes in and just as I expected he delivered an unbelievable set to save the bal en blanc.
HEAVY & DIRTY DEEP TECHNO all the way! Not a single Tribal track, very little vocal. Amazing mixing, old school style.

I think you would like Sander Van Doorn a lot, the guy played so techy, I mean more then he used to play. It is all basslines now. I love his sound. Seriously contemplating on kicking Armin of the Number 1 slot

Got there around 12:30, thank GOD (and Fahad) for VIP...didn't spend a minute waiting in line. I felt so bad for the people on the regular line-up, I think that was the longest queue I've ever seen in my partying history. Guys seriously invest in a VIP ticket next time, it's worth it.

Infected Mushroom were already on and doing their thing..these guys are nuts. I suppose they played well cuz they had the crowd going apeshit. But it wasn't really my cup of tea, I do appreciate some Psy/Goa but it was WAY too early for that type of music, in my opinion.

I couldn't wait for Ferry to start..and was overjoyed when I saw him coming in the booth. Ferryyyy
He came on with a massive, banging energy set, great crowd interaction, rhythm and flow, flawless mixing...you name it, it was there.
The crowd was going insane the whole time Ferry was up there..he was just incredible.
Best set of the night hands downs, getting on me knees and putting me forehead to ze ground.
Hearts..hearts..I love Ferry.

Armin was his usual self..he was great. Played an energetic set, on the techy side of things, dropped some awesome tunes, some cheese as well (to be expected), obligatory Jesus poses, dancing and genuinely enjoying himself. The crowd loved it.

Something I discovered over the years about going to see Armin, Do not listen to his sets often. As I used to religiously. You'll enjoy him way more.

I left around 8 because I was: very sick + tired + sober = need sleep. Needed to go home, take my medicine and go to bed...I can't believe I lasted that long on 1 Red Bull.

I hate that I missed Menno's set, and I hate that they put him at fucking 9 AM!!!! .. But my friend texted me around 10 AM saying: "Selma come back!!!..Menno is ripping us a new asshole!!"
So I'm assuming he delivered a great set. Go Menno!

Lights, set-up, decor, blabla...meh. I don't really care for that type of thing..cuz what matters to me: Good music = Happy Selma.

Highlights of the night: System F = Exhale!!, meeting Ferry, Armin and Menno. <3..and just being with my friends, really.
I was happy.

Every 5 years or so there's a new fire department chief. He always wants to clean up the clubs/events and is very strict on legal capacity. Then he just stops giving a crap and becomes a col bleu.
