Hmmm, let's think what I should answer at the topic above, or just below this one....

You're missing the point. Or being deliberately obtuse. Either way: forget it, I can't be bothered.

Thanks all for the kind words, and the crap comments as well!

I have to comment on this one once more...
I've NEVER played Sandstorm three times during one night, and during my several hundred gigs I've maybe played it twice (or actually 1,5 times ie. an intro bit + the full track in the end) only a couple of times quite in the beginning of my career. I've had Sandstorm-like sounds in my other tracks and the exact same sound in (but not same melody) in Feel The Beat. If you've mixed those up, that I can't help.

One of my first rave or warehouse party memories trackwise is 'Age Of Love'. I still get goosebumps when I play one of the new remixes of it these days, takes me right back, it's a classic. I even remember how it sounded muffled + reverbered from the other room and me running there to catch as much of the track as I could.

so I live in podunnk, nebraska and every single time I play a show, all I hear is: PLAY SANDSTORM!!!
theres like an inside joke about it, but I must say, when people think "Techno" they think Sandstorm...

the way I like to put it is Sandstorm is to EDM as Gangsters Paradise is to Rap...nuff said

Yeah at least he could have used it to cover up his opinion had he seen what the response was going to be.

Wow I just downloaded this song and its SOOOO good!

kidding. not a fan of sandstorm anymore but I admit I thought it was the ish back in the day. darude is playing a FREE show here in seattle next week...I probably would have gone too, until I heard Ferry Corsten will be playing on the same night at the club literally right next door to the one Darude will be at. Granted his show is 10 dollars to get in but I'd choose Ferry over Darude any day...free or not.

Posted by Intense_Sounds on Apr-03-2008 05:21:

Wanderlei Silva uses it as his entrance music.

Posted by moodywang on Apr-03-2008 17:03:

i'd take a free darude show over ferry any day! i saw him live and was shocked at how good he was...i hear sandstorm being played in the most unexpected places and i never get tired of it
