The employees at Zone are some very nice people who shouldn't have to put up with this shit every weekend. Some of them do rely on their pay check. The fucking audio tech pays his rent with the money he makes from Zone. So if you people want to go and call the employees enablers you can go fuck yourself. They're mothers, fathers, students, and hard working people just like you and me, so go fuck yourselves for judging these people and calling them enablers.

Maybe that stupid kids mother who crys on the news is an enabler for turning a blind eye on her drug dealing son, then wants to weep and lie that her son just tried G in January and it's all Zone's fault. He delt that shit along with everything else you dumb bitch. Now u want to take away the places we go to release some energy and have a good time!

DJ's like Deko-Ze, Nathan and Carlo who spin there every weekend I'm sure care that they're losing a check every time Zone is closed.

So if you people want to discuss Zone cuz it's the hot topic right now, move the fuck on becuase you're only spreading rumors and talking about shit you have no real idea about.

just as much you passionately care about your stance..why don't you accept the fact that some people care about theirs...not everyone has to fuckin like the zone and what it represents..and let me TELL YOU something dude..I happen to be friends with some of those dj's and they know that this is the way of the business...they have been at this game for a long time....all the promoters who used to promote raves..who basically had to abondon their fucking businesses because the city made it so difficult to hold raves...it's the UNDERGROUND scene and it is always shifting and evolving..and i'm sorry to have to tell you..nothing lasts forever! I wish there were liquid adrenaline raves still goin on...they rocked..but you know what....the times have changed....

companies go bankrupt..people get laid off..they lose their jobs..a fuckin immigrant can come here and works in a shit job cuz the degree he/she worked for back home means SHIT here..and he has to support his fuckin family on 10 bucks an hour..now that's SAD....there is so much shit goin on this world..and you're angered by this..THIS is your cause to support...

A few months ago I was at a rave at a photography studio that got raided by the cops around 3 or 4 in the morning due to a noise complaint.

So I was dancing away having a great time and then the DJ lowers the music. I turn around to see a bunch of cops standing at the door and then say to my friends "um...should we go?" A bunch of people stop dancing (including my group) and just look around really confused. The cops continued to stand there and said nothing. My friends and I decided to just get our coats and leave.

It was then I overheard/saw the funniest conversation

A candy raver wearing white fun fur pants was saying something to one of the cops, I couldn't hear what though. The cop (a big jock type) just kept looking at the candy raver in a very odd way...Kinda like he was from another planet. Then the cop yelled out to one of his buddies:

cop: "Hey look...look, it's like Star Wars. His pants are like Star Wars"

I swear, the cop was ready to burst out laughing.


And that was my experience with cops busting a party.

You also dont know anything about his death and the person he was so I wouldnt be taking about something YOU know nothing about. Think a little, awe the precious, zone is closing, well they should have run it better and taken care of it, the only one to blame here is the zone itself, wonder why they never found the owners hmm.....Zone doesnt care about the music and the place itself, they care about how much money they will make off selling drugs there. Like I said in previous threads, the zone needed to be raided and cleaned up, half the staff was nice, half weren't. I loved the zone but it needed to be cleaned up.

I think all of his points are valid.

BTW about the employees, I think its sad when a big car production plant closes down and 2,000 people lose their jobs.

However, if you work at a place like CZ and it gets shut down due to the fact that 98% of the people are doing hard drugs, and the 5-20 staff that work there lose their jobs..... not such a big deal if you ask me. The only one there that would be working a 'skilled' job would be the sound tech guy. The rest of them should have no problem finding an equivalent job, with probably much better working conditions.

It's unfortunate but what's happening because of it is pissing me the fuck off. The people who lost credibility are the cops, and yes, this kids mother and sister, who are lying about the entire situation. They're twisting the details, leaving out important information, and plain-old making shit up to push their agenda forward.

This is what frustrates me the most. I know for a fact that the cops are going to keep coming back over and over again until zone closes its doors. And then they're gonna go through every other club in the city with a reputation, INCLUDING GUV, until the scene is nothing like it was. Everything that the true clubbers/ravers/scenesters (NOT INTERNET FORUM FANATICS) know and love about the Toronto scene is being disrupted.

So back to my point, fuck all the people on here who speculate on shit they don't even know. Go fucking talk about Britney Spears!

I dont see how I am wrong on how he shouldnt be talking about the family and the victim in the way he was especially when he doesnt know them. As for the working people there I am sure they can get another job in the bar industry, its a revolving door.

As for zone and what they did and how they operated, come on dude, I loved the zone too but what was going on in there was illegal and should have been handled better by the club. Maybe I am a lil emotional about the subject but I always converse with my head on straight on a non biast look, logic.

They found 1,000 pills behind the bar. I liked and got along with some of the staff there and the music!!! Out of this world.

All I am saying is that people need to stop glorifying this place as the end all and be all especially putting down the death of another HUMAN BEING. All the supporters of the zone who are putting down the death of this guy and how his family are reacting are acting like savage animals. Its a club people, you dont like it go make a club of your own, the fact is that the zone was doing sketchy shit that was illegal. Thats all I said.

Yeah some DJs, like yourself, would lose their 2-hour set once a week but its not like they are highly dependant on that income. Unless CZ pays $500 for a 2 hour set, which I doubt is the case.

and plus, all of the CZ DJs are highly skilled and popular in the city of Toronto and could probably get a weekly gig at a lot of the Richmond clubs to replace the lost income...

BTW, don't most DJs have day-jobs?
