Might as well genetically re-engineer the whole planet to sustain the human race for generations to come. Because thats what will take for our race to survive at the current pace. Without a doubt, GMO's have the most profound and unprecedented impact on the environment which hasnt even been properly studied. You cant control GMO's once they escape into the environment. And the damage will be irreversible. We dont understand genetics well enough to be playing games like these. Plenty of articles leaning towards negative health effects that GMO's could pose. GMO's are the not the way the nature intended things to be. We've gone too far. We must stop this madness. EDIT: GMO's arent gonna solve the problem with the world's food crisis. There are other factors at stake here, like climate. Plus ever-rising world population. The way I see it its all about money/profit and easier agriculture at the expense of human and environmental health and long-term future. |
