tiesto says he doesn't care, but that's untrue. Black Hole forced some mp3 sites to close.

To those that think people who DL music are theives

http://www.msnbc.com/news/747405.asp

Go there and read the facts....people who get free music are more likely to spend money on music. The record industry can kiss my ass after reading this

Indeed.

PvD does care, he hates MP3, and he thinks people steal his music.

either way you look at it, when you download a COPYRIGHTED mp3, you are BREAKING THE LAW. So don't act like it's an innocent act.

Yes, I do download mp3s. That is because I cannot afford the CDs these days and most of the time I can't even listen to the tracks before I buy it. So then I buy a CD and then find out I like 3-4 of 15-20 tracks. This to me, is a waste of money, seeing how I pay $16+ for a regular CD.

I download mp3s, and burn only songs I like onto a CD and play in my car, cd player, etc. Not to sell

Two things about your post that I'd like to point out to you.

1) I'm not going to listen to anyone who posted what you did, simply for the reason for ....
2) Your whole post is one big contradiction, with smaller contradictions in there. I just want to point them out now...

quote:
That is because I cannot afford the CDs these days

but then you go onto say...
quote:
So then I buy a CD
You can not say one and then go on to say the other. Those are opposites of each other. Either you can afford to buy the cd's, and do, or you can't afford them, and don't buy them. Which is it?

Second of all, you like to point out to us that by d-loading any copyrighted cd's, we are breaking the law, like we are some group of fucking idiots. No shit Sherlock!!!! We already know that. Not only do you presume us to be stupid, but you then go on to chastise us by saying....

quote:
when you download a COPYRIGHTED mp3, you are BREAKING THE LAW. So don't act like it's an innocent act.

It would be one thing to take that from you, but NOT after you go on to say
quote:
Yes, I do download mp3s

So yet again, you are contradiciting yourself, and also calling attention to the hypocrasy that you preach. If you wanna go preach hypocrasy, go somewhere else. In fact, to tell you the truth, you are the only one I see on here making excuses for why you d-load mp3's. Everyone else on here has either admitted that, yes they do in fact d-load mp3's simply b/c it's the fastest and easiest way to get the new music we all love, or they simply haven't admitted they do it. SO shut your hole about "I do it too, but I do it b/c (insert random bullshit excuse here)."

Another thing....
[
quote:

[/B]

Simply b/c you admit that you don't sell the mp3's you burn doesn't make you any better than anyone else. Besides, who was talking about burning, then selling ????? I haven't seen that anywhere. This whole post is on how his (Airwave) music is being grabbed b4 it comes out, not what people do with it after they have it.

So again, quit bitching at us like you're any better than someone else who gets mp3's, because, to steal your own quote......
quote:
either way you look at it, when you download a COPYRIGHTED mp3, you are BREAKING THE LAW.
