I heard they only played for an hour with a shitty opener and a DnB closer. lol whatta waste. Good thing it was free......hope no one really PAID for those tickets.

The Blue Jackets were the first act followed by a mediocre dj set by Jon Hopkins that tested people's patience (his ambient brian eno-ish stuff was pretty good, the rest not so much). coldplay came on at 9:30 and played for about 75 min.

i don't really like their music, but they put on a decent show and it was a cool thing to do for their fans. it was far better than the glorified sound-check i expected.

There was no closer. I don't think anyone paid for the tickets.
The opening DJ started a little before 9. Coldplay came on at almost 10 and it was all over at about 11 something. For a "free fan appreciation concert" I wasn't expecing it to be too GRAND to begin with so I wasn't disappointed. Set up,lighting and effects were nice, lasers were pretty good too. Towards the end there was a big confetti explosion.

They did play some tracks off of their previous albums which I was glad for because I don't know many off the new album. They performed well eventhough it wasn't for that long.

Found a good bar with cheap drinks about half a block away for drinks before and after. Met up with Mer, Liz, and Liz's friend J and got properly trashed

Nils got stuck at work late and didn't make it in time for the meetup. Nils, I hope you at least made it to the concert in time.

I didn't even realize there were 2 acts before them. I did leave a few times to get food and beer tho. Or I wasnt in my seat in time to catch the first act.
