Probably since they do not wear proper running shoes. I used to do some running on pretty crappy shoes as well. Hurt like hell whenever I tried to do more than 10km.

Since I've bought a pair of proper shoes I haven't had any trouble running, not even when going over 20km.

I do fat burning on the exercise bike. Start at a decent resistance level and every 30 seconds increase the level, but keep your RPM close to the previous RPM. Do that for about 5 mins then after that 30secs is up drop it back to 2 levels above the one you started on and repeat. Do this 3 times, will take about 20min and you will be FUCKED by the end of it.

Depends on your running style, your feet, your weight, the surface you run on, etc. There are so many brands and types I won't even start a list.

That's where the specialist shops come in. Over here, they film your feet while running and base their advise for a certain type of shoe on that. Helps a lot if you want to stay clear of injuries.

Yeah the sales associates at The Running Room and the New Balance store (and I'm sure a few other places) do a gait analysis when you buy a pair of runners. Pretty helpful!

Do you mean five times a week?

Five times a day is a bit much.

Kay, thats pretty standard by now, did such a test as well and got 140 EUR Asics as a result. Helped against blistering. Thought you were talking about some highly professional luxury brand or someth

Do you guys run on treadmill as well? Can't fucking stand it and it bores me to death. Which is why I always lose all my hard earnt fitness throughout winter

There's these new machines at the gym I go to, I think they're called stride machines? It's like a combination stair climber and elliptical, that's one hell of a cardio workout. If anyone finds that I strongly recommend trying it out, I did it for 30 minuets and it kicked my ass.

That sounds like it would. Stairs and elliptical..shit Stairs for a period of time is hard enough let alone adding something else to it!

For our pft (physical fitness test) you run a timed 3 miles. perfect is 18min failing is after 28min. When i first joined not running at all i did it in 27min. Got down to 20min in bootcamp, slowly rised after 4 years was doing 25min and right now im back to 21's.

My knees are destroyed. I'm 22 and feel at least 30.

lol, fuck that three mile shit. we only run 1.5 miles.

Oh, sorry, thought you didn't know that. But I always buy my shoes at the same store now, since I know they know what they're talking about. Plus you can return the shoes when you don't like em / they give you injuries.

There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.

The only weather that keeps me from running is when the roads are too slippery. Which happens about once a year or so here.
