Yeah it's Mike. I'm not very asian to begin with really . Still quite a few people hanging around all night long. I was getting low on energy too so we left shortly after you did.

Hopefully i'll be able to make it back up there for another event sometime. At least I know how to get in touch with you now bro. Always nice to meet new faces.

Asked Blake if he warps his tracks, got a shrug, a psh, and an abrupt "No, I dont" I guess in disbelief that I asked such a question. Didnt think it was that big of a deal to ask. Oh well.

it wasn't a big deal to ask, i think you just took it the wrong way

it also took me a few seconds to realize what you were actually asking me, because it doesn't actually make any sense for someone to warp their tracks if they are playing them on CD.

blake is super nice and is always glad to talk about music with fans. so i think you just completely over read him and took it the wrong way.

Steve, the only special need I need here is your mom and you know it.

Well I would think by warping the tracks to the same bpm, you wouldnt have to jack with pitch control, cd or otherwise.

that wouldn't be smart either, because the calibration in CDJs varies from unit to unit, make to make, model to model, firmware to firmware. the records wont "stay together" because even though both CDJs are set at 0% pitch, they have too many other variable complications possible.

on top of that, being the stickler for sound quality i am, warping would cause discoloration of the sound in any mode other than repitch mode (ewww!), and if i repitched all my records slightly or vastly from their original bpm, i wouldn't be able to key mix accurately when and if i chose to do so.

Posted by davemolina on Aug-20-2008 04:45:

I agree with t3h Blakester. You'd have to warp the tracks at 'Complex' to keep the keys in check and that might degrade the sound a tad.

I know it helps some guys that keep all their tracks at the same BPM, but I kinda like dicking around with the pitch slider to line up my tracks.

Die Steve

Hey, when you remix Deathcab For Cutie songs that make me wanna slap Dirk's momma..I'll kiss your ass too.

Posted by jonas on Aug-20-2008 22:01:

I'm almost done with my Debby Gibson remix. Will that work? Or do you really need a reason to slap Dirk's mom again?
