Well the thing is I wasnt gona get married at 24......I have always thought that I would prolly get married around 35 or 40+ or never.....But you see my dad always supported me and never asked me for anything this is the first time he asked me of something and I just couldnt say no to him.......I think I have lived 24 years of my life with my own choices and the way I wanted to....This part of my life 24+ I owe to my parents, I will never leave my parents infact when they get old I will be taking care of them.

I am actually now happy that the way its going my whole family back home and here are super excited about my wedding.

everyone is different. i am the youngest (just one older sister) and i feel like even if i don't get married until i'm 40, my parents' reaction will still be, "WHAT?!? UR GETTING MARRIED?? UR TOO YOUNG" lol

they dont ever take my relationships seriously. i just stopped talking about any guys to either of my parents. i just lie when they ask if i'm dating or anything. not worth it to get into it.

What Im doing is an arrange marriage.....I have seen the girl few times but havent actually spoken to her....Its the way my parents got married and their parents.....I actually chose it to be that way...I could have married my ex but she was too much drama couldnt have her eat my brain all my life......... Its gona be soo crazy our wedding night full of awkwards momments LOL ahhahahhahah.........I cant wait.

Slylee she is family so she will merge in the family right away both my mom and dad love her and her parents love me off so their wont be any conflicts of that sort plus Im a very easy to get along person...who has a very liquid personality.....I can talk to anyone about anything and not make them feel Im bored,tired,or sick of them...

Really though, even though it is abnormal in our society, this, among other things, has reminded me that you can NOT define what is normal and accepted within your own view.

I recently read an article about a study regarding the whole marrying first cousins thing. They basically said that unless you keep it close for many generations, there will be no problem. The whole thought of genetic impropriety due to recombining similar DNA was refuted. They found that it would take so many years of the practice, that it would never actually happen. There would be at LEAST one variation that the possibility is removed.

According to this article, I was a bit off, but nonetheless, the chances are still quite slim. Approximately double the rate of normal, but still small in the grand scheme of things.
