only cdj, i know i am a tool after all!

anyways, oh boy summer it is! and yes, can't wait for demf.

i play both, but have far more music on cd than on vinyl, no worries. the only thing that I think is lame are computer screens in dj booths

i am actually coming up with a new chair dance apt for deep house music and dubby disco. i blame moodymann for my odd behaviour this week.

someone should book Move D during DEMF.

I've been playing this set over and over again lately, and my fav track now is the one that comes in at about 36:00. Anyone ever IDd that one?

edit - nevermind, just found the tracklist thread - http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=486769&highlight=move+d+sunday+best - it's Los Hermanos - In Deeper Presence.

he played a pretty good dj set at the bunker on friday too, but he was a little zoinked and started late

marcel dettman, though, just killed it. i have always been skeptical of dettman but he blew me away. tagged with the other marcel until very late, it was like a mini berghain

What did you think of Bell's set yesterday?

tbh i was bored, and we left to hang out with some friends in greenpoint.

i felt that he totally missed out on the opportunity to play to that unique space/vibe, and instead played his typical night-time chuggy fare. something more jubilant/sunny/celebratory would have been more appropriate for the fourth of july/kickoff party/beautiful weather/diverse crowd

next week danny wang will kill it.

reagenz beginning was just fantastic, super sensitive jam-session ambient techno, so lush and chilled out

i think their set bored a lot of people though, since they played so chill so long (i loved it), and so they started to play more dancey stuff, including some of david moufang's solo productions and they did a live version of a new collaboration with fred p (black jazz consortium)

Exactly what I thought, man. Not the venue to play raw techno like that. I still had fun and enjoyed the music but I expected something a lot different, especially because I think before you got there he played like two tracks while Move D and Sharp were still setting up and they were HOT! Like full sounding classic house tracks. And then he comes on later and makes everyone yawn.

yeah i have heard dan bell play older chicago house and disco-house tracks before - that stuff would have been perfect.

god, i can't even believe how good the marcels were at the bunker though. they were playing a lot of unicorn techno that felt almost like trance to me (but i was really in outer space and it was just the thing i wanted to dance to), as well as furious minimal techno, acid, and then they started playing old acid house tracks at 6 am, and i just lost it.

i haven't danced so hard in months. vibe was like an old school rave, people losing it everywhere, throngs of zombies, more open drugs than i have ever seen there

dettman played 808 state's 'pacific state' right at the end

I'm getting a fake soon, I'm gonna start hitting up those Beyond/Bunker parties.

On that topic can't wait till the warm up with Delano and Plaslaiko.

I don't know why you posted that track, but I'm glad you did, that's a great track by KDJ.
