Hmmm I used to use that to record of Virtual Turntables...

But recording broadcast music isn't particularly reliable, and surely getting the right songs that way is just more difficult than searching a P2P client's network for instance?

Posted by gwylorecordscom on Jun-06-2002 04:03:

yo

This sucks ass, a long time ago when I first started to use it I was able to find about about so many djs and so many parties from around the world that I never knew about. This is more of an educational tool to discover the music that you would not other wise be able to hear or find.

The can't close it coz I said so, how will the small but growing scene in asia be able to hear music overseas that you cant get on cd?

Posted by DJSoundWave on Jun-06-2002 14:39:

AAAAGHHHHHHHHH, how the fuck am i gonna keep up to date with all the lastest vinyl. i always download a tune before buying it, and this way once a new release comes out and ive had the mp3 for a while i can snap it up straight away.
i bat half of the bastard RIAA use Ag themselves at home. WANKERS!

Posted by Tak on Jun-07-2002 04:10:

I only have one thing to say.

Without MP3 I wouldn't be listening to trance, I found it on MP3 for the first time over the net.
Without this MP3 these very record companies would have lost a lot of money that I didn't spend getting the good tunes on vinyl. MP3 is the best form of promotion for DJ's and producers in small makets like this. Pop bitches are the ones targeted who buy/burn CD's of Pop crap that sell to the kindergardens of the world.

He He He File sharing go on...Maybee behind closed doors.

Posted by TimeportE on Jun-07-2002 22:01:

well if AG goes down an other (better) prog will rise.. it's as simple as that.. so don't worry people, but still it's shit that it happens.. AG is a cool program and the share groups where very handy indeed!

when AG goes (if it goes)

I think the trick is that if AG goes and we are forced to use a new mp3 sharing program then there is something that we must commit ourselves to. In order to make a new program the best we have to have our music out there, so if a new program is required go back to those burned mp3 cd's with all of the best tracks on it, take what you can and put it back on your hard drive. Share those files for a month so there is enough time for others to get them, then take them off your computer if you so choose to do so. If we all commit to this then there is no reason that a new mp3 sharing system couldn't have all the selection that Audiogalaxy has given us. I correct that, it isn't audiogalaxy that has given us that selection, it is we the users who have made it so great, so whatever it is we did for AG we can do for any other site! I owe being a DJ to audiogalaxy, it made it possible for me to learn the music. But we will find something else.

Any volunteers to hijack a plane and fly it into RIAA's headquarters?

Posted by davinox on Jun-13-2002 17:43:

i work for the RIAA, i'll see if i can cut a deal to keep AG alive and unblocked...

Posted by B-Good on Jun-13-2002 17:59:

Why Can't Audio Galaxy move to another country ?
If the servers and their so called head office is out of the country what can the RIAA or the American courts do to shut them down ?
I don't know if this would be possible but it seems like a simple solution to me.

Posted by tiesto14 on Jun-17-2002 23:04:

wow EVERYTHING is blcoked...

Posted by tranceDJ on Jun-17-2002 23:17:

Yes...it is the end of AG. I'm so pissed, it was so great.

They have to find a way to get it back up and slap those RIAA bastards in the face.

Posted by MSCI on Jun-17-2002 23:59:

AG is dead , long live ...

Well so are we just gonna sit and cry , let's find something new and share . The only problem is trance is so hard to find , AG was one of the only place to find it . RIAA is stupid cause you can find Britney everywhere .....

Posted by Orby on Jun-18-2002 00:15:

Not Everything

Yes all our music is blocked.. But on the brightside you can still download all the local artists works. Bah Fricken Retarded Ignorante Assgrabbing Assholes (RIAA). Especially now when Armin Van Buurens remixes of Solar Stone, are out... anyone care to icq me with the 7 Cities remix i'll send ya solar coaster and not the radio rip... 192kbps (don't ask how, just do)

Another point to make is Kazaa, and Morpheus would be harder and more money to beat in a court of law.. so i see why they would go after the smaller profit companys.. funny how that works.. Also have too look at the fact that the RIAA diden't exactly sweep the floor on Napster during that case, i can see kazaa or morpheus winning if they decide to spend the mooola in defending themselves..

But anyways there are my 2 cents..

Posted by Izzy on Jun-18-2002 03:50:

Sad AG - RIP

this is just all to sad,
now it will take a while until all the electronic community goes to the next file sharing program. It'll take at least a few months to build up to the amount and depth of sharing as was on AG...
oh well time to move on.
RIAA will never win in the long run

Posted by CrackedLcd on Jun-18-2002 04:19:

I was downloading a shit load of tunes when all of a sudden it deleted everything that was to be downloaded...when I tried to search them again and I kept getting that notice for blocked songs...

Posted by gwylorecordscom on Jun-18-2002 06:03:
