This is why most of the tracks sound a little different like edits

"some people have mentioned im not playing solo anymore and also i heard some comments about what is sos all about really. its about 3 people merging everything into one whole... its 3 x 20 years of record collecting, its 3 x knowledge of the scene and the artists and labels, its 3 very close friends working to achieve a single artistic output and 3x the man hours that any one person could do on their own. when we play out live its 3 simulatious outputs.. that means one or two people can communicate and program the set live on the fly, while the other prepares accapellas, drum loops. efx for layering over the sets.. or two people playing the set b2b, while another is playing live percussion (omid recently using his drum kit live).. theres no rules, and because of this a huge amount of freedom for creativity. another scenario is if one person is playing a tune we can add efx to it. i.e. an echo... this is then fed into the central master mixer that another person has control of, and they can add another effect ontop of that.. so effectivly we combining equipment to create double or even triple effects that are impossible with one set of hands or one set of equipement.. hear us live and you will hear stuff you havent heard before. its a creative project that is in its youth and is evolving. also with the enourmous ammount of music out there with 3 people working on finding the best sounds.. its a much bigger net to catch the fishies in. where next we dont know and dont want to know, the element of the unknown in the future is something that encourages creativity. i came across a track the other day titled 'the further you look, the less you can see'... its kinda like that.
people that miss any of us in SOS playing out solo, we all do still play solo but the focus is on the group. we are working together very closely to produce something new, and always pushing its evolution. just hear the balance 13 mix.. this is something not any single one of us in the group could of produced on our own.. so its got to be worth the effort so far of focusing on the group and not the individual. and universe willing.... there will be lots more to come.
big love to all
desyn "

This setup has no reflection in their sets, and it's just over the top. A lot of edits that people think are their edits are just simply hard to find or less known remixes or tracks with well known samples (but respect for the guys for finding them).
I think they are all better playing solo than in the group (this desyn's set is a perfect example).
I think it's hard to focus on a good flow of the set with so many hands in the booth and at the same time throwing all those stupid DJM effects.
(When there is too many cooks there is nothing to eat.)

Incorrect for the New York Boat Party. Desyn was solo that evening due to Demi & Omid 16B's flight being delayed. Desyn was the only one that made it to the boat party.

Totally agree .. i'd rather listen to desyn solo anyday then all three of them.. they play great tracks loads of bombs , amazing effects ,but sometimes i find them a bit all over the place but that;s just me !!

didnt know that, but youre right. my mistake

I personally think Desyn was better before with a peak in 2005/2006 with some epic sets just remember his Desyn Masiello - Live @ Club Home, Budapest - Feb 10, 2006 set for example....

Not saying the other 2 are bad but desyn belong alone when he can play his own found material 110 %

cause he is the uncrowned king of weird and unknown masterpiece ids

Does anyone of the people in this thread -trying to guess who the f..k played the set- consider about simply enjoy the set instead of limiting their minds by guessing if it was Desyn itself or with Demi and Omid? Surely you/they would enjoy it much more.

What a waste of time to live a life judging everything!!!

Thanks for the set anyway to the one/s responsible for it, I am sure they/he would really catch this thankful message.

Keep on workin' like this!!!

I think that very important thing/aspect why he prefers sos at the moment is his health... if you know what i mean...

we're not 'limiting' to guessing, were just telling facts. its 100% Desyn played solo at an SOS party: the others didnt came. but that's a side trail, as you can you see, if you would have taken a good look at this thread. you then would have seen its full of replies with respect to ID's and other big BOMB's of tracks. so dont tell us we need to enjoy the set; we do. ill tell you what to do; next time, read the whole thread first . then come in and shout

If we didnt enjoy the set we wouldn't be busy looking for ID's dont you think ?
Besides everyone is allowed to write thier opinions on public forum.
So maybe you should stop judging us and don't read this topic if it offends you in any way.

Cheers

Great! It's the "I have to use a million smileys to get my point accross" guy again

Anyway, the only one "guessing" here is you.

PROPS on getting #24 (Luxa flex)

and we all thought it was Desyn's or the SOS edit

now its time for 3, 18 and 20 to unfold themselves
