Don't compare his sets to his live performances.
My friend saw him live a couple of months ago and he said he played an awesome energetic set.
Really wanna see this guy.

I dont understand why u guys make big events on the same day, I think a lot of people would like to go to this one + Black & Blue

The kind of line-up is very very different

Long weekend sundays are always good nights to promote events

We don't think B&B can affect us that much since our line-ups have nothing in common

So that's why we book the event on that date

ya and usually, if you want to bring in people who will spend money at your club, it's probably gonna be people with jobs who cant afford to be all fucked up going to work on monday because they went to hear a DJ at 6am!! so once in a while bring back the 9-3AM. that would be nice.

i second that, but only if it's not at Millenium :P

Posted by kanaBEATya on Sep-30-2008 13:18:

yaaaaa. what have they been thinking with the Millenium bookings? what a bad choice especially for such experimented party organizers.... iiish.

Posted by Trancission on Sep-30-2008 15:40:

Simply because club owners are not making enough money when they book those big Djs on regular nights. Club owners make their money from selling alcohol and as u may know unfortuantely people tend to think that Electronic music only goes with drugs. Too bad for the 9-3 crowd!!!

An after-hours will charge minimum 20$ to get in if not more and it makes no money on alchohol sales (obviously). Then how can a club that would also charge 20$ cover + profit from alcohol sales make less money than an after-hours? Is it cause of crowd capacity?

The ideal would be a club that closes at 6-8AM (and still sell alcohol at these times) like in Europe but still have the best DJs start no later than 1AM. Because obviously, nobody goes out before 11-12 here in Montreal and a DJ set is usually not longer than 3 hours! So good enough for people who want to go home at 4AM and the opening hours are long enough for people who want to keep going!

Legend tried doing that.... failed miserably. But what if a club like Tribe (on Thursdays) did that? A club that is already known for good bookings and solid nights? And by all means, if Circus wants to stay open till noon the next day why not, but have the best DJs play at a reasonable hour!!
