lol ah-jay ftw.
congrats, deadmau5, my friends and I always look forward to your tracks on Gareth Emery's, Menno De Jong's and Tiesto's podcasts, who I feel have played more of your tracks/remixes than other podcasts I subscribe to. You should create your own podcast on iTunes!!!
your podcast player comments on Gareth's last podcast were funny, you have a funny accent, LOL.
and then Gareth's response was he never met you but you seemed laid-back and then he thought all Canadians were like that!!!

Great insights from Joel's post. As the Deadmau5 brand grew, I was increasingly surprised (and impressed) at how effective it was. While many DJs were toting their own birth-names (as the current trend seems to be), Joel took the Daeadmau5 moniker, created a brand around it, and pushed it--now it is easily a recognizable symbol in the EDM culture. Combine that with (let's face it) the great tunes he has produced, and I can say that I am for one happy that he has found success founded in something we all purportedly love -- music.
Congrats man, keep pushing on.
