I am very deeply sorry about the MC situation

It wont happen again ever... except for the regular announcement and thanks to the dj..

I wasnt in the building anymore... so i wasnt aware of what happened

I hate when MCs talk over djs for a long time...

So dont worry... you wont see him again

Hey guys,

Awesome night. I came with like 23 people, 7 amateurs... they left halfway cuz I guess trance is not their stuff. I loved J.O.C.'s set, it was super crazy awesome. I would even go to say that it wasn't hard trance, just awesome progressive, head banging trance (proheadbang trance? lol) I love the fact that you're able to bring some very hard trance DJs, as I only love trance.

I was very pleased with Nick Pilon as well, especially when he played Silence remix, by Delerium and Sarah McLachan. I forgot which remix, but this one as a 2008 remix.

I agree and concur that the last Dj's ability. I don't like stretched out repetitive sounds... lol how ironic that all electronic is kind of repetitive.

There were indeed a few weirdos, but what do you expect??? I got stepped up, pushed, and hit in the head with elbows. But that's nothing out of the ordinary. I would like to made a suggestion for the interior decorators. We need more couches. Some people just don't take stuff and need to relax and stretch their legs. when I went up to the "chill room" I only saw one bed, two or three wall couches. However, it might be because you don't want people lying around and touching eachother too much.

Oh and one other thing. A lot of you might curse me or hit me if you see me, but tabarnak que la putain de fume de cigarette etait exageree. J'avais de la misere a respirer. I don't mind weed smoke, but there's a limit when it comes to a cigarette hotbox.

Tracklist: I will try to add some of the thing remember hearing and possibly correcting.

- Barry Connell -- Frizzbomb (Paul Webster mix)
- Sia - Girl You Lost (John O-Callaghan analog tech rework)
- Simon Patterson - Bulldozer ( Joint Operations Centre Remix)
- Armin Van buuren - If you should go ( ? remix )
- Veracocha - Carte Blanche * (Cosmic gate remix)
- Thomas Bronzwaer -- Certitude
- Mojado - Kaktus (John O-Callaghan twilight bootleg mix)
- Tom Colontonino - Enlighten
- Timmy and Tommy - Full Tiltin (John O-Callaghan aka Joint Operations Centre mix)
- Activa - End Of Summer
- D-Unity - New Beginning
- John O'Callaghan & Bryan Kearney - Exactly
- Mr Sam vs Human Resource - Dominator
- Mojado - Kaktus (John O-Callaghan twilight bootleg mix)
- John O'Callaghan - Big Sky (Agneli,nelson remix)
- Paul Webster - Problems (tribal mix)
- The doppler effect - Beauty hides in the deep (John O'Callaghan remix)

can anyone confirm these trax? I might be totally off....

-Wippenberg - Chakalaka?
-wasn't Big sky the city zen remix?
-Mr. Pit - Shana (Duderstadt Progressive Dub Mix)
-Moussa Clarke & Terrafunka - She Wants Him
-Passenger 10 - Mirage (EDX's Sunshine mix

I think that remix of if you should go is either the agnelli and nelso or the John O'Callaghan...

For the rest...Im not really sure...but ill attempt to comfirm

Also, I think the Silence remix could be the Hi-tack - silence (just cuz it had a bit of a housy feel to it...and 2 cuz is the most well known 2008 remix...although I am possibly wrong)

Posted by Fran666 on Oct-27-2008 16:14:

it was the thomas gold remix of silence.

First off i must say that this was by far the best circus event. Coming to this event was completely unexpected or planned since the labour day event with Gareth and Ayl&Fila was the imo the WORST event in edm mtl history.

So me and a few friends of mine arrived around 2am and Nick Pilon was delivering! This guy defintely got the crowd going, played some bomb after bomb tunes, one of his best warm up sets since Ferry @ Aria in October 2005.

By 3 - 3:30 John O Callaghan arrives and from there on...complete amazement! JOC's style is one of a kind. He's came up with a brilliant recipe with a unique blend of ingredients (Inertia+Joint Operations Center+ JOC) sound. His mixing was on key and transaction from one track to another was completely smooth.

Here are some tracks you can add to the JOC @ Circus tracklist:

Underworld -"Cowgirl"(JOC remix)
Arnej "The ones that get away"
Mike Wind & Ron Malakai -"Sunday After Monday"
Dazzle -"Chaos Theory"
Marc Marberg & Kyau vs Albert -"Neo Love"
Sander & Marco V -"Organic"
Giuseppi Ottaviani -"No more alone" (John O Callaghan remix)
Giuseppi Ottaviani & John O Callaghan -"Our Dimension"
Armin Van Buuren "If you should go" (JOC remix)
Jochen Miller -"Lost Connection"
JOC -"New Jersey"
Inertia -"The system" (sick track)

Closed with Bryan Kearney & John O Callaghan "Exactly" and "Big Sky"

Wippenberg "ChaKalaka"? I think he played this?

Also, this was my first time checking out Carl Muren. Pretty sick Dj. Kept the party going, played some really nice tunes, the set was a variety of classics to presently new tunes. Played quite a bit of armin tunes Zocalo, Rush Comes, Rush Hour, ect... Maybe you can clarify this? But I noticed quite a bit of crazy mash ups which i've never heard before! Was wondering if they were your own production mash ups? Pretty sick regardless...

To Circus overall this was a great event! Sound system was surprisingly good! Crowd was really digging the beats, close to a full house. Big ups for Mtl's local dj's Nick Pilon & Carl Muren. These guys should really be considered to be booked for BEB 2009. If anyone is interested or curious about what exactly of a kind of set that JohnOCallaghan spun he has an essential mix 12/07/08 that was released. The set is almost identical to the one he spun at circus. Same flow and a lot of the same tracks.

Keep up with booking the new blood.

For once another TA that thinks like me! I'm sure Nick & Carl appreciates the words and if someone from Beb is reading this hopefully we will see some new faces in the Traceroom at Beb 2009!
