Taktickle.

Nickname = Tak

mandatory 'DJ'

I must agree about not liking the 'DJ' title in front of your name. now for some people it works, like 'DJ Liquid' i think that works. I think all of my favorite DJ names do not have the 'dj' title in front of them. Personally i prefer to be called MythodiKal, instead of DJ MythodiKal. It is all a matter of opinion really, to each his own.

PLUR
Peace Love Unity Respect

MythodiKal

I was thinking about DJ Bhuddaquan for an Asian type effect (I'm Taiwanese) but I realized that a name like that is more of a hip-hop type thing so it's back to the drawing board for me.

And what tu f*ck beeing a club DJ has to do with this? Yes, I do spin at a club, so what?
All i have to say is that u got a problem, which probably can not be cured...
About equipment: why are you so damn proud of ur f*cking numarks? I guess you haven't used good GOOD stuff... I'm sure everyone who used some crappy decks and then tried techs will tell you that the crappy decks blow! So why are you telling everybody that your 1520's are jsut as good, just got less torque?
Anyway, this is all bullshit, peace

1. Any idiot knows that Tech's-1200 are the best, I was recommending Numarks to someone who needs something much cheaper. Just because you don't agree with me doesn't mean that you're the only one who's right.
And in all my posts, I was only trying to help. You are the one who starts throwing "fuck"'s around and flaming.

2. It's not what turntables you have, it's what you can do with them that matters. You can have Tech's, and your mixing may still suck big-time. By the way, where can we download and hear your mixes?

3. What club do you DJ at? Please tell me.

True professionals don't lash out and make fun of others, they act maturely. This is something you and your friend Teknique don't understand. By the way, having the word "DJ" in front of your name is obviously not enough to claim that you're so experienced as to criticize others.

I'm trying to get into the DJ scene, though all I do right now is listen to music and work on my own in fruityloops.

I've thought of some names, but they don't sound very good. I was thinking DJ Srezic (sreh-zick) because its original and sounded cool, but I also think my RL name might work out with DJ in front or not:

DJ Ryan Ashford
Ryan Ashford.
DJ Srezic

Tell me what ya think =P. And maybe what steps I should take next. I'm only 17, so I have a lot of time to work it out. Thanks for your help.

How about Jon C, or maybe Jona C, sounds cool.

Ryan Ashford sounds just fine, maybe DJ Ryan Ashford, same thing anyhow.

IMHO the abbreviation DJ infront of any name gives it a cheesy sound. The exeption to the rule is IMHO DJ Tiesto

btw my name is Michael Efstathiou, any ideas how to chop it up so it sounds nice?

Posted by Srezic on Jun-09-2002 22:56:

DJ Mike Stat sounds cool.

well my nick name around close friends is cornbread, I got it cuz my friends drink too much : and because I'm kinda a white boy through and through, so cornbread, then I got my TT's and people started asking me what my DJ name would be (I dunno I just started SHEESH) so they seized the moment and dubbed my DJ Cornbread I dunno if I like it or not, but they all call me it now, so what am I going to do eh?
