It seems like the pro version needs to be patched.
Not having really any trouble with mine at all...
I'll let you know after I play my 2-3 hour set on friday

Either way, it's working but I need to find somewhere that will give me hints and tips..
What controller would you say works best with Traktor? Xone 1D? Or is it a case of preference?

dl'd the demo for windows (Pro) and wow...been recently fooling around with Traktor 3 demo and I thought that was really solid. Pro blows me away. Sold. Time for the self-Christmas present. I'm going to see if I can get Scratch for cheaper and upgrade.
Traktor pro is brilliant, I just got it this weekend. Sound quality is amazing, no gripes there. I had a couple issues with radio interference but I think thats just the shitty wiring in my apartment. The FX are great, I haven't even come to close to figuring them out yet but the GUI and overall feel of the program is excellent. I can do 5ms latency with my Ecler Evo 5 and quad-core intel. I didn't realize how much I'd missed the physicality of mixing with vinyl, it feels great to have that back.
Now to rewire into ableton!
looks like I was begging wife that wanted it and she saw before I did and ordered a copy for me so by Tuesday I should have it. I had 1000 bucks stored up for gear upgrade and all. Was going use money to replace 2 cdj's and 2 turntables that I lost but instead she saw this and got for me before I even knew.
Man, I can't wait until I have enough $$ to buy this. I haven't been this excited for a product in a while.
What's the difference between Traktor 3.4 and Traktor Pro?
Upgraded my macbook pro to 4 gb just now.. will see how much of a difference it makes tonight when i play.
Did a fresh install on my mac last week as well and was able to bring traktor down to 4-7ms which i'm more than happy with.
I've realised that i really do need a midi controller though to take full advantage of it
I don't want to spend any more money though EEEK!
Something i noticed was when you have key lock engaged and go backwards on your vinyl/cdj's it doesn't play the music properly. Only when you go forward.
But i think this is because i have the key lock setting to ECO setting instead of HI Quality or whatever they're called. Have to check the setting later on again.
Either way it's going well. Better that i'm now half way through that monster of a manual!
nelly
ps. Going to see Ritchie Hawtin tonight and Gaiser which should hopefully be a little bit good
Nice!
I doubt the RAM upgrade will make a difference, but it's so cheap these days you might as well do it.

i've got a quick question about traktor's effects:
can the effects be routed to outputs C and D on the audio 8 dj? i'd like to output the effected signals separately from the original signals. looking at the manual it seems like it's only possible to have one separate effect output and not two. i can't test how it works atm, but would really like to know.
You have two options (selectable separately for each effects unit):
1. Insert - signal comes from the internal routing within traktor. So you route from decks a-d and to effects units 1-2. The signal coming back is inserted before the decks filter unit.
2. Send - signal comes from an external input. This is where you'd connected up an input/output to your mixers effects loop. There is only ONE input for send and ONE output for return, for both effects units.

Not that I know of, it seems to be one way or the other.
You CAN however set one efx unit to be insert, and the other to be send/return.

Looking forward to buying it for Christmas.
anyone tried the send fx with a 92?
it seems that sometimes the fx changes back to an insert, assume its some kind of bug

Not hea
rd a bad word about this, so Im going to take the plunge and buy this and a nifty wee midi controller to get the best of both worlds.
Running it on CDJs with a Faderfox Midi controller to deal with the loops and FX..
Really looking forward to the digital plunge
