the only thing lamer than unecessarily hating on a roll call for an event you're not attending is a PROMOTER for a competing club doing so...

The fact that I promote has nothing to do with it. Like I said I would SO attend this if it was at a different venue. I really really reallly hate circa. Shutting down the gay room, throwing out all the gay promoters, dissing one of their biggest crowds and just being an all around sketch place makes it one of my least favorite venues in the city.

Some of you are acting like its the worst offense ever to diss a club in an event thread. Get over it. Its the internet and not everyone likes the same shit as you.

That being said.. I know a lot of you will love the place and have an amazing night. Carl Cox is sick as fuck.

Never been to Circa before.. and I havent partied hard since WEMF.. so lets do this!

I've only been to Circa a few times, but does anyone else think that the vibe really dies out around 4am?

I left at 6 last weekend when Victor was playing and vibe was still great...if not better IMO than at 4am.

Pure dirty thumping main floor (((stereo))) madness...

First off the Ballroom wasn't a "gay room" but they were trying to draw an open crowd which was great and when it worked it was amazing. If the gays had supported it more and the night was doing better they wouldn't have changed, however I was there enough times when the ballroom was less than 20% full. Frankly I think they got rid of the promoters because they weren't doing a good job...I don't know how many times I complained about how bad the promotion was for this club. The fact that they were gay had nothing to do with it. I'm sure you know that some of the "gay" promoters as you call them are now back and promoting at Circa. As far as complaining about the sketch at Circa when you frequent many of the other clubs in Toronto...give me a break.

Wow, you sound like an amateur promoter with that statement. You are probably one of these promoters that have a big facebook friends list and think that making a facebook invite makes you a promoter.

One of the rules of promoting is to never publicly bash a competing party. It is just tacky and tactless.

Let me give you some free advice, if you have to comment on a competing party give the competing party a compliment otherwise don't say anything at all.

You do realize that there can be any club in the city that can have coked out attendants right? The same can be made with Guvernment. It's just as apparent. The juice monkeys are generally on the higher floors while most of the homosexuals generally dance on the main floor.

Btw, if the planners of the club had to map out a a specific section for smoking, I think they'd obviously use it rather than result in smoking in an alley. Going to smoke is not exactly the most glorious thing to begin with, so I don't think building a club focused around a smoking room should really deter you from going to that club.

If you hate the place so much because of the crowd you should do your research on what you really hate. Because if its not the appearance of the club, the music, then maybe its something else... maybe you couldn't get a job there.

Maybe I'm allowed to dislike a club and you're all reading into it way too much and caring way too much.
