We used to league play during the winter with my buddies, to keep baseball fever alive when the Expos weren't playing.

Best baseball game ever at the time.

i remember nhl92 or nhl93, you could actually pummel gretzky and he'd be on the ice bleeding... also for that game i remember picking the allstar team against ottawa with 20min periods and scoring 80+ goals in one game

nothing like byuling a massive city and then destroying it (and getting kicked off as the mayor)

Maximum Carnage???

That game was impossible to play through! I swear it gets messed up hardcore after like that part where you have to climb up that building and fight that dude on the building. And that's like only the 3rd level!

Posted by Search&Rescue on Nov-20-2008 18:34:

we used to play this in our computer labs at school using QBASIC...although, by the time the boomerang hit something..it was time for us to go, lol!

You can download it here (it's abandonware now): http://takegame.ru/action/gam/anotherworld.zip

This game blew my mind back in '92. It was way ahead of its time. I opened the box, and it had no manual, no instructions, just floppy disks. I have never imagined such an amazing storyline would develop.

I used to play Flashback for the Genesis a lot. I haven't played Another World, but I know it's by the same developer and it had a crazy story too and really fluid animation for the charactors.

I think the fact that I never owned a Sega system made me love this game even more. With the exception of playing it at friends houses and the one time I borrowed my friends system I never really got to play it until emulators became popular
