dude, that's by far one of the most boring mixes on fundacion, any jackass with traktor or ableton could make two of practically the same track sound good mixed together.

torstem fenslau hessentag '93
dj 70 - fanatic trance into age of love (watch out for stella mix)

love the transition in sasha's studio budapest set (12/22/07) from popof - my toyz to federico epis - brasilia. gets me going every time

Paul Oakenfold - Global Underground New York

2. Jamie Myserson - Rescue Me
3. Tastexperience - Summersault

That may be more of a fade in than much of a transition but it still gives me the chills to this day..especially going into Summersault with the first few notes of the melody...wow.

Armin van Buuren - Universal Religion 2004

7. Deepsky ft Jes - Talk Like a Stranger (Markus Schulz Remix)
8. Probspot - Foreplay

Probably one of the best I've heard. So smooth when the bassline and melody come in for Foreplay right during a vocal part during Talk Like a Stranger.

This is a really good one. The first time I heard this, I didn't even know when the new track transitioned in. These tracks were made for each other.

One of the great threads I've seen! One that I always liked was:

Space Manoeuvres - Stage One into Sander Kleinenberg - Sacred

from Sasha GU 13

The whole thing is effin amazing, though!

Totally forgot about that one, absolutely mindblowing!

Theres loads I like.

Memorably though and by far my favourite is James Holdens essential mix 02 when he drops Blue fear half way through, To be honest, there are handful of brilliant transistions in this set.

PVD Sensation mixing Cosmic String in at the end. And also his essential mix from Mambo.

Tiestos set from Energy 2000. Although its not neccessary a smooth transition and even a simple one it just works so well maintaining the drive of the set.

14 Zombie Nation - Kernkraft 400 (DJ Gius Remix)
15 Binary Finary - 2000 (DuMonde's Millenium Mix)

Tiesto @ Radio 538 Queensday Party, Museumplein Amsterdam 29/04/2006 (I think...) An excellent set with some great transitions.

01. Grooveyard - Mary Go Wild (Krzysztof Choclow Remix)
02. Super8 Vs. Tab - Helsinki Scorchin'
03. Fonzerelli - Moonlight Party
04. Tiesto - Lethal Industry (2006 Edit)
05. E-Craig - First Time (212 Mix)
06. Jochen Miller - Chromatic
07. Grooveyard - Mary Go Wild (Fred Baker Remix)
08. ID
09. John O'Callaghan & Brian Kearney - Restricted Motion (Airbase Remix)
10. Tiesto - Flight 643

Haha this was the first transition I thought of as soon as I read the thread title! It's amazing how well that transition works

It also helps that Novocaine is one of my favourite tracks ever

For anyone that hasn't heard it:

I've heard many awesome transitions in mixes over the past number of years, however I tend to really impress myself these days. Heres a few I've made up throughout my earlier days of DJ'ing..

Stoneface & Terminal - Sidewinder (>) Talla 2XLC - Carry Me (Airbase dub)

Marco V - Rise (>) Blank & Jones - Stars Shine Bright (Sam Sharp remix)

Rusch & Murray - The Promise (Ronski Speed remix) (>) Incolumis - Tsunami

Lange - Intercity (>) Mohawk - Atlantic Stress (>) Bobina - Red Line Highway (>) Exposure - Magic Impulse

Virtuoso - Apex (Mark Sherry mix) (>) Three Drives - Carerra 2 (NU-Nrg remix)

Cern - The Message (Northen mix) (>) Sam Sharp - Twister (>) Push - Electric Eclipse (Tranqua remix)

Ferry Corsten - Radio Crash (>) Deep Invert - Journey To Mars

... and plenty more.

A five minute harmonic overlay with a fucking key change halfway through. If anyone should ever question what John Digweed did to earn his superstar DJ status, this transition will shut them the fuck up.

Jesus fuckballs! This really is awesome.

The transition from Pryda - Storm into Henrik B - Soul Heaven on Eric Prydz's 2007 EM.

Not to be a blatant self promoter, but I put heavy emphasis on transitions in the mix in my sig (often 2-3 minute overlaps between songs). Check it out if interested .

Posted by Lews on Oct-30-2009 05:07:

It's cool. In my latest mix I have over a 5 minute overlap at one point and overall, over 1/3 of the mix has two tracks playing.

Which mix is that?

Elements Of The Fall

The first mix in it goes over 5 minutes haha. It was quite fun to do!

It's a great mix for sure, but there's no key change, Change is in D minor throughout.

First one that came to mind is Sasha - Belfunk to Chris Raven - I know you love me too on Northern Exposure 3. Epic.
