i know dude.... christ even a dude in a motorized wheel chair was there

Posted by samdafroman on Jan-17-2009 15:57:

It was sick,
took a couple of first timers and they came without hats and gloves hehhe.
I on the other hand was fully prepped, caught the end of maher's set, lee rocked it,
drank like a madman to stay warm, great night !!
i missed that warm wine, sooo good in the cold

Lee Burridge

Enjoy it, but still missing 30 mins from the beginning.

Posted by Leif on Jan-17-2009 16:42:

No more Gluewhein?!

Thanks for the set! Will be there on the 24th if I'm not in Frankfurt :P

Posted by RayRayy on Jan-17-2009 16:59:

Wow!!!

Is this Burridge??? Nice set!!

Posted by princesultan on Jan-17-2009 17:28:

burridge ripped the place in two....the only thing i could have wished for was for him to play all night and into the morning. it was really good. i dressed warmly and the cold really didn't bother me. i brought 4 of those mini hand heaters, 2 for my hands and 2 for my feet and i was perfect.

maher did a good job as well.

Really glad I made it out to see Lee. Really good set! Great track selection..he got the crowd going nuts with some meaner tracks in the second hour. Love this techier side of Lee!

Only heard half of Maher's set but that last hour was really good!

Can someone ID the track around 1:02:00?

edit: track is Dinky - Acid in my Fridge (tobi Neumann rmx)

Posted by Allied Nations on Jan-17-2009 19:24:

good times.. nice to see some friendly faces!

I left at about 11 to head to cherry, but what I heard of both Lee & Maher was awesome!

Posted by alexgea on Jan-17-2009 21:54:

Sadly I couldn't come .. Does anyone have Maher's set recorded ? (I remember some sets were recorded last year like Josh Wink's) ..

Thanks;
Alex.

ma-lade

it was just perfect!

i dont c how u gonna skip igloofest cause its too cold...defeats the purpose... its unfortunately not beachfest mais on fai ce qu'on peu avec ce qu'on a

the point is.. u dont move, u freeze, u dance, u dont

anyways ... got there right on time for burridge,

i think he was spinning something like kaskazi or take me away or stmn..

he was bombing the dancefloor while maintaining sick crowd interaction

laughed my ass off watching him make retarded facial expressions after each sip he'd take of his red

and then he'd do jumping jacks when the beat drops LMAO

tk... i came through in snowpants gloves tuque k-swiss shoes and i ended up taking off my coat.. no cold (drinks 2)

there weren't that many people, but the energy was sick. EVERYBODY was busting a move, i literally got a cop to shake his tailfeatha

Posted by Vermz on Jan-17-2009 23:33:

it needs to finish at 3h

Posted by Alexx G on Jan-18-2009 00:08:

+1, 3h would be amazing!

Posted by fullhouse on Jan-18-2009 00:29:

i dunno, i like the concept of it being an ante-party

ex: yesterday was igloofest + karma (cherry's real close too)

left my proper clothes in the whip.. left igloofest at 11h45..

perfect way to start a night i say, but i dont see myself partying outside till 3

Posted by Bertuzz on Jan-18-2009 04:24:

We took a couple jagger-bomb shots with one of the organizers... his name escapes me, not Michel. And I pressed him to have piknic/igloo all year-round hehe

I don't think it would work until 3h given that it's outside...most outdoor shows finish even earlier than that (Parc Jean Drapeau is 11pm I think).

sick sick sick party. It was a much smaller crowd than last year's opening for Josh Wink & Misstress Barbara, but the people that WERE there were the diehards and it showed with their energy!

edit: Thanks for the hookup with the set Jesse. Too bad I didn't run into you last night

As far as Maher & I know, his set wasn't recorded...And IF it was, it will only be released by Techno.FM

Good thing too. Cuz that set of his was indeed a once in a lifetime experience. The kind that the recording wouldn't feel exactly the same, wouldn't do it justice. Same for Lee as well (although I rly appreciate Jesse's recording); good times were had all around.

A HUGEEEEEE thank you to all Igloofest organizers, promoters, interviewers, bouncers, bodyguards...everyone who helped make this night happen and who took such amazing care of Maher & I.

Thanks guys, see you at Holden

i heard some DnB past midnight, wtf??

Posted by Alexx G on Jan-18-2009 19:49:

Listening right now, sounds good but nothing like actually being there like Erika said.
Hey Jesse, out of curiosity, how did you manage to get such a high quality recording of the set???
Sounds like you plugged your device directly to Lee's turntables...or did you?
