I know some of you are asking why, but come on, I have been to every Ultra and I have never seen him on the line up before. I for one am thrilled to death. I have seen him live before and I absolutly loved him live. I really hope you all give him a chance and catch his set. See you all there!

Im hardcore ATB fan and consider him to be my all-time favorite dj! He rocked it this past December at Fur in DC with his set that included Chichane - Saltwater, Late Night Alumni - Empty Streets, and his new remixed version of 9PM Till I Come. He sure knows how to move the crowd and just keep the momentum going. Not to mention hes nice in person. Definitely stoked to see him again, but on the big stage in Miami.

if i had VIP for free, id use it......those hammocks will look awfully nice about 5pm on saturday

Posted by ac1dream on Jan-12-2009 23:56:

The only use for the VIP tickets should be for the cleaner bathrooms. The crowd definatly is what hightens the experience! But waiting in line and having to use the port-o-pots blows!

I'm thinking the same thing...but then I see the dirty bird pool party and I'm like I think I'll see luciano and dice at an all minimal techno party that week

Bloc Party? Why not Daft Punk haha. Same with Prodigy, They own but were at Ultra 3 years ago or so. Pendulum live is kick ass but main stage is very very weak friday imo. The other stages are amazing but main stage could use some work.

But why go for decent? Go for all out kick ass. At least a hyped up enough artist. I am not a fan of The Cure and Underworld but those two were huge, Bloc Party not so much

huge fan of The Cure here...so i was happy to see that...who would u suggest then? friday it seems is dedicated to alot of bands....which saturday has basicaly none

Posted by drEamer on Jan-13-2009 05:43:

and i read somewhere that alot of these festivals are trying to be fiscally conservative this year in light of our economy......so that could play a role........daft punk, with the costs...and the production requirements might not have been a viable option

My Vote: DEPECHE MODE

Helped pioneer the electronic sound and bring it into the mainstream, and they have a new album dropping this year followed by World Tour. It would be awesome--but alas, purely a pipe dream.

Hey,

I am wondering if it is possible to buy an VIP upgrade for UMF when we have a WMC badge? Does anybody know if that is possible and when and where we can do it? A guess how much that would be?

Thanks!

Do yall remember how much the 1 day passes were?

Posted by thecreator on Jan-16-2009 14:54:

I didn't think they dropped the info on one day passes and what not.But if memory serves(and it doesn't because I only remember that weekend through pictures and voice mails I left myself to remember what I did )It's like 100 bucks for a one day pass so your best off buying the two but hey that's me.

Posted by swerve311 on Jan-16-2009 15:15:

I would get 2 day but friday is all about the Future Sound of Breaks party

That must have been an amazing show!!!

Roughly how many weeks before the actual day of the festival is the third phase of the lineup usually released?

If i remember, it is usually 3 weeks or less before and not much seems like will be able to get added besides the local stages and what not. Seems they released more than usual this time around - no complaints from me though haha.

Drunk

I'm interested in going to Ultra this year but I just have to get my tickets. And knowing that Prodigy will be there is awesome cause they didn't disappoint last time they were there.

well but the set will be the exact same though... kinda bummed on this pick. Was one of my favorite shows live, but would have wanted something different.

same set? They have a new album dropping the first week of March. Invaders Must Die and The Omen are great new tracks.
