but that's the thing...i DO hit the gas! when i see open road, i naturally accelerate, and i'm ALWAYS 20 over the limit, regardless of the road, except in school and hospital zones. Other than that, give me the 20 over ticket thank you very much.

so when i see pedestrians in that open road, i will just accelerate and unless they hurry their ass up (sometimes i get cocky assholes that just walk, even though i'm hurtling down trying to intimidate them) they WILL get hit...because I figure, they may be stubborn and trying to act cool on the outside, but when i drive by at 80 km/h and they can feel the wave of air actually push them, along with some high-revving exhaust note at 1 foot, i'm sure their hearts will skip a beat at the end of the day, do you really want to sacrifice your bones to teach the driver of the car a lesson? LMAO that's ridiculous. I'll slow down for bums, though, because they have nothing to lose

No, no, no. Dead pedestrians are worth less then severely injured ones. If you hit a pedestrian; do your insurance company a favor, back-up afterwards.

If you read your insurance contract it clearly states you must mitigate your loss....so if you don't kill the pedestrian then you are not fullfilling your end of the contract.

same here, i can't comprehend why would people drive on the left lane at lower speed with no one ahead of them.

it's open? push it.

What if they get stuck with a parking spot nearby instead of a driveway, like an underground parking area or above-ground in a complex?

Lets sort this problem out RIGHT now!

Most drivers shouldn't even have access to their damn keys!

Riding your bike the wrong way on a one-way road or on the left side of the road constitutes reckless driving. Playing chicken when you're going the correct direction does not. When you're on a bicycle, you are bound by the same rules of the road as a motorized vehicle. Who taught you the law?

PS: I dare you to break that mirror and see how many bones you break in the process. Or did you mean finding the car later with a bat?

Fayraree:

Go ahead and hit the gas, I'm not the cocky asshole who walks in front of an obviously speeding car. I figure I have to wait less to allow a car to go by than a car has to wait for me to go by, so I yield or dart through.

If you can hit 20 over on a busy downtown street without hitting the run-down voyager/corola driving 30 in the left hand lane, all the more power to ya.

So I describe a situation where the road is busy and cars are driving 40, and you tell me you're the dude steppin on the gas on the 'open road', then, when I hold you to the outlined sitiation that I described in the original post, that you referenced in your reply, you tell ME to read carefully?

Are you for serious?

in that case, you are ridiculous for telling people not to hit the gas when you're talking about grid lock traffic

but being a rational human, i took your "step on the gas" remark in reference to situations where it's possible to do so, i.e. open road.

ur stupid and boring, i'm going to bed.

My 'step on the gas' remark was for those idiots who would hit the gas just enough to close a large-enough gap for me to walk/trot/sprint through. People close gaps between cars all the time, thus it's not ridiculous at all that I would say "as long as they don't step on the gas", because I would appreciate that the gap between cars REMAIN a gap whilst I am within said gap.

You're ugly and fat, I just woke up

Posted by zoogla on Dec-12-2008 19:43:

get a fucking job!!! waking up at 2 pm ffs

and unless YOU'RE a fatass you should be able to fit through any "gap" between two cars in gridlock traffic because last time I checked people don't hit the gas to lock bumpers with the car in front of them, so it's a moot point. walk close to the rear bumper of the car that is stopped / going slowly in the front and it's irrelevant whether the car behind hits his gas or not, at 20 km/h.

fuck, you're making my brain hurt with your nonsense.

i dont aim for him or speed up. I just drive like i normally would down a one way street The bicyclist driving the wrong way on a one way street is clearly breaking the law. Im just driving like i normally would when some dude on a bike happens to hit me head on . BTW i do believe that bicyclists can be charged under the exact same laws undewr the highway traffic act as cars. And perhaps they should start enforcing these laws on bikes.
