You like Breakcore by any chance. I was turned on to Flashbulb - A Vancant Life. It's like Breakcore with guitars..truely a sound all of it's own.

it depends. some breakcore is awesome (undacova, mr.kill a.k.a. rotator, venetian snares), but much of it is uninspired garbage. flashbulb is good though!

Also..I'd recommend In The Nursery - Duality CD

that CD is one of a kind. It's classical/Industral and all the songs are spoken word poems from John Donne and the famous Desiderata by Max Max Ehrmann. I made a myspace page with all the good songs from Duality since In The Nursery is going in a different direction. But that is what is so cool about In The Nursery...very do they keep the same style on each new CD they release. If you want I can give you the myspace link and you can hear the 6 best songs..you hve to wait awhile before the so cool spoken word poems kick in so give it a chance..write me back and I'll send you the link to the page.

yeah, i'd love to hear that. i enjoy their neo-classical / ambient tracks a lot. "holstenwall" is probably my most favorite:

Here is the link to the 6 best songs on Duality bt ITN. Remember have patience because the spoken word poem parts start sometimes at the middle of track and the song "always" has no lyrics. Hope you like it

cool... except there is no link there.

good stuff! there's another great release featuring beautiful poetry:

to a child dancing in the wind

martyn bates recites\sings different poems by irish poet w. b. yeats over some gorgeous ambient music by troum.

here's a 3 min. excerpt from "mad as the mist and snow".

Wow some beautiful recommendations! I'm loving In The Nursery and Troum thanks guys!

These tracks by In The Nursery (featured in their myspace page) are very atmospheric. I remember In The Nursery to have a more raw darkwave/post-punk/industrial sound (i used to be a fan of their 80s stuff) but these are more ethereal (in the vein of Dead Can Dance). They are generally very nice

p.s. This is the sound i'm talking about heh

yeah i don't really fancy their post-punk repertoire, sounds kinda generic and anonymous to me. their neoclassical compositions, on the other hand, have always been top notch.

as for troum.... well, only these guys can successfully pull off an ambient track with the balalaika as the main "synth" and make one hell of a monster tune out of it. and that says A LOT.

Anyone like Laibach..I was into them back in high school but the only song that real stuck with me is "Life is Life" you can find the video on youtube. Lead Into Gold was another really good one. Try and take a look for The Tear Garden - The Last Man To Fly. They have several CD's out but like In The Nutsery "The Last Man To Fly" was just left field from anything they were doing at the time. You might find a few tracks from that CD mixed with other CD's on myspace, if not..I can make an account with what I consider to be the best 6 songs from the album. Any Lead Into Gold fans or actually any "Wax Trax" fans in here? That label was my music bible in high school. lmaO. now i am more picky on my Industrial. Anyone remember Sheep On Drugs The Greatest Hits CD. OMFG those dudes were so over the top cheese i still get a laugh out of that CD.

Seems like more shit talking than people listing tracks. Everybody is on a debate team these days

1. Woob - 11:94 <-- The Best Ambient CD every made and if anyone wants to debate me on it. Try and buy a copy from CDNOW.com or eBay or Gemm.com I paid $150.00 for my copy and it was worth every penny. If something is considered by all global that this is the price standard give or take the condition of CD , etc..then how can everyone be wrong. lol

2. The Tear Garden - The Last Man To Fly CD - considered by me to be the newer age Dark Side Of The Moon. (Industrial/Ambient)

Now to "EDM"

3. Mind Markers (a.k.a Phynn) Static/Alive Again Vinyl both tracks awesome. (Progressive)

4. Menno de Jong (Guanxi (Original Mix) <--this will prolly fit in the catchy melody debate but I dig that song everytime I hear it.(TRANCE)

5. Dr. Kucho - Nosferatu (Tribal) It's the violins for me

6. In The Nursery - Duality CD (Ambient/Industrial)

that's all i can share now

Agreed. Nice list of stuff. Haven't heard any of it but it definitely appears good, so I'll try to give this stuff a listen whenever I can.
