Against many other artists, Depeche Mode always has at least 3 awesome songs per album

Exciter was awesome, Playing the Angel was cool too, shit, even some of the Gahan singles are cool (Dirty Sticky Floors)

Yeah I must agree there were some really good tracks in that album as well. I think their best time was when Alan Wilder was in the band. When he left, the band lost something. Most of the tunes of that time was composed by Martin Gore, but Wilder gave some really good vibes to the band. But after all, I'm looking forward to this new one!

There is no way it could be a bad album.
Hoping for an anthem or two though, but not too much pop please.
Should be dark.

What I heard from the album so far sounds very promising, though it were only some snippets, but they were cool.

OK, so, I have, ahem, managed to obtain a radio recording of the new single. I will not post it publicly, so if you want it, PM me.

The album does not hit the store until April 20 in Europe and April 21 in North America. However, it was leaked last week over the internet. Anyway, I've had it on heavy rotation and am really loving this new album. Have concert tickets for July 24th and 25th for both Toronto and Montreal shows. Hopefully, I'll see them in NYC this summer as well.

I think it's the best one since songs of faith and devotion, I agree a hole to feed is a bit MEEEEH

I am fond of Peace, Come Back and Martin-sung Jezebel

You asked me the above from the TOTA forum a few days ago, so I'll answer you here as I can't stand some of the peeps on that forum. LOL

Anyway, I'm loving the new album and know that the more times I listen it'll grow with me more. Pretty sure I liked it more than "Playing the Angel" when it first arrived. However, PTA totally grew on me too and I learned to love it like the rest of my Depeche Mode collection.

In no particular order, my top 3 favorite tracks from SOTU are:

Perfect

Come Back

In Sympathy

Yeah, I know "Come back" was written by Dave Gahan and he doesn't have the natural gift or genius songwriting of Martin Gore. Any which way I'm digging this tune! Sue me! LOL
