Hey all...

1. The ring was too small, it's since been resized
2. I am a bit chubby I know... but hey I blew out 3 discs in my back so I can't run like I used to, and its hard to get much excercise more than walking every day or swimming. I'm undergoing physical therapy but its a slow process

All that being said, I'm still very happy and am excited to start this new chapter in my life. And a new career soon (Seeing as my back is fucked, I can no longer work as a Paramedic.)

Thanks to all for the congrats, and to the rest? Well, glad I made you laugh.

Tahnks! Thats the engagement band (2 platinum bands with a solitaire diamond and several diamonds embedded into the bands), the wedding band is another band encrusted with another karrat worth of diamonds... its 3 bands, platinum and all diamonds total to 2.75 karats. I'll be sure to upload a pic of the full set. It was really humid in hawaii and the ring was too small so lol it did look like a pig in a blanket.

I've been home for nearly 8 months... but went thru some really tough times (physical therapy, struggling with a bad Vicodin problem [which stemmed from a really bad back and knee injury in Iraq] and lots of PTSD counselling, and now facing a possible Medical discharge from the Army... its been rough, but Kristin has really helped me pull thru it all). I've kind of kept to myself the past few months...

On a more positive note,
I'm glad you enjoyed the Chicane set!! I plan to post up some more recent mixes, now that I have more free time and my head has leveled out. Due to my back injury I am considering dropping nursing school in favor of something nice and low key like music production... sitting in front of a compy all day sounds nice. Tho I'll miss medicine... I can't serve as a paramedic any more so I doubt nursing would be up my alley either.

But, its a new year, I'm drug free, I'm psoitive about my life and I'm happily engaged... what more could I ask for

Don't be too quick to think so. Depending on what type of degree you get, you don't have to do the physical kind of nursing that requires a lot of lifting and such. Besides, everything is done by mechanical lift these days.

Heh yeah. Up here it depends where you work though. The only place that unregulated care providers work are long-term care facilities and retirement homes. In hospitals nurses do everything.

Good to know... how about trauma nursing? WHen I was getting my paremedic, there was a lot of lifting by all around (doctors, nurses, paramedics)... thos I guess that it'd be easier than the heavy lifting involved in firled paramedicine. If I'm lucky, I run with 3 or 4 EMT's, and I can just make them carry the patient into the ambulance... but thats not an every night thing... If I could get onto a dedicated ALS rig I'd be ok.

I'll definitely look more into it tho Jenny... now that I have my Medic, I can get my BSN in about a year... so close ya know? I know that my fiancee is going to school for nursing, she wants to go into critical care nursing. That would be too boring for me... I love the adrenaline rush of running codes!
