Weekend passes for Movement 2009 May 23-25 cost only $35 from now until March 24.

DETROIT, March 18, 2009 - Afrika Bambaata, Bassnectar, Carl Cox, Derrick May, Francois K and Z-Trip are among the partial list released today by Paxahau of electronic music artists scheduled to perform at Movement 2009 May 23-25 on Hart Plaza in Detroit. The Prodigy will perform at The Fillmore on May 22 for the Movement 2009 official opening party.

�Every year our goal is to build upon the success of the previous year by bringing the best available local, national and international talent to Detroit in order to create a weekend experience unlike any other in the World,� said Jason Huvaere, president of Paxahau. �Our team spends a lot of time selecting artist and DJs that will appeal to electronic music enthusiasts. This year there will be a major Detroit presence at the festival as well as some performers that rarely set foot on stage in the United States.�

Cool! I do ren cen every year for the last 7 years. (from detroit live in nyc now)

Rooms in Ren Cen are REALLY tiny so I get a master suite on 68 every year.....TA's feel free to come by and party!

there is a thread in the Chill Out Room about all the COR whores staying at Ren Cen.

It's filled with inside jokes(u may not get some stuff).. alot of us have a roll call going for TA's staying at the hotel.

So you better watch out when u say something like that! haha.

Only downside to the ren cen is the rediculous wrsitband policy. But 5 or 6 years ago before they started that we used to get crazzzzzy.

due to the fact that it is so close to the festival you need a wristband to get in the hotel after like 6pm (maybe all day, cant remember) at check in you get 4 wristbands. One for you and 3 for guests.

Friends can go to the bar (ive seen hawtin, carola, beyer and sims hanging there) but to get to the elevators you need to show a wristband.

oh and a regular room is about 300sq ft. but the views are amazing.

Anyways, I wanna split a 50$ cab ride from airport to hotel.. So what time is everyone getting in?

Felix and I are driving a rental and dropping it off in Detroit, and fly back into La Guardia. When would you be arriving? Maybe we can pick you up, and the dropoff place is a couple of blocks from the RenCen, so it would all be good Or maybe you can ride with us from NYC if you would like, the expenses that way are much less. Think about it, I have 2 spots open

it's only 80 bucks to fly there.. i haven't checked the way back. Maybe I will just ride with one of u guys if I can't find someone to split the 50$ cab ride.

Bobby is flying on Saturday afternoon... If you plan to be there at the same time maybe you can co-ordinate with him.
