^^ I've seen every episode like at least four times, and I'm still as obsessed as I was somewhere around 2001

not all that excited by the remaining episodes now. its like watching star wars without darth vader. i understand what the writers were doing etc, but im still totally gutted. im now a huge michael williams fan though

That's what I loved about the show. THe fact that everyone was a regular joe. And I really enjoyed seeing the story arcs for the individual characters develop (eg. McNulty, Freemon, Marlo, Stringer, Bodie, Bubbles, etc etc).

I was bummed when HBO got rid of Lucky Louie, that show had the laughs

go back to 1983 and The Hitchhiker and Not Necessarily the News and even Fraggle Rock

then bring in 1st and 10, Dream On, Kids in the Hall, and Tales from the Crypt.

Then in the late 90s you had Arli$$, The Sopranos,

now theres Curb, Entourage and other great prgrams..

Showtime has 1 decent show, thats it.

HBO > Showtime

That show was amazing. I'd never heard of Louis C.K. up until that point and I became a HUGE fan. He needs to do more comedy or shows or something, he's amazing! He did an HBO special maybe a year or two ago that I had saved on my DVR and I couldn't stop watching it. I almost peed on time.

yeah, that's definitely the attraction, everything reeks of realism and nihilism.

the street characters are all so interesting. i just need a few characters to really love, and i only had 1 and now he's dead and im feeling a little jaded! watching the final 2 eps tonight.

you didnt want to see bubs get his due? (i havent finished the whole series, tho i have an idea how it ends)...

i think the attraction is picking the larger than life people out of the rest of the scumbags. there is the realism, the nihilism - but it is the only show i have ever watched that doesnt totally resort to characterisation. which makes me root for the true hard core amongst the troubled, the troubled being everyone|

Entourage , The Sopranos , The Wire and Curb all fucking awesome TV Shows HBO pisses on all other TV Shows its embarassing when you compare it to Doctor Who on British TV.

It's on Showtime and not HBO, but Weeds is fantastic. Also, Mad Men.

i know it really annoys me. needs to be an hour imo

and even though she's obviously hot, that Slone chick annoys me.

HBO Latin America also has some great shows. They had a show called Epitafios a few years ago about a serial killer, and the last episode of the second season aired last night. Fantastic show. The first season is out on DVD already, I highly recommend it.
