they took away the free gear but gave a few extra drink tickets. not to crazy about that but whatever.

Is the VIP pass a wristband or an actual card on a lanyard type thing?

Basically, can someone else utilize its VIP bathroom access?

After last year, I can see that being a huge advantage. But a friend is coming for only one day and doesnt want to pay for the VIP pass.

It's a special-colored wristband.

Last year Gen Ad was green, VIP was yellow, and all-access was black.
Lanyards were for press/volunteers.

just make sure they put it on your wrist loose enough so you can slide it on and off.

If you're staying at one of the really close hotels though, I would just go back to your room for the bathroom honestly. The VIP bathrooms aren't much better than the regular ones, aside from less of a line.

Thanks for the info Beema.

I think our hotel is about .8 mile from Hart Plaza, which is walkable.

Last year, we stayed at the Comfort inn (i think) on Jefferson, which was more than a mile. It was either take a long, hot walk back or use one of the shady taxis driving around.

My friend had a half of a brick thrown at him (it missed) from a minivan full of people while he was walking home by himself at 4:30am. So we learned our lesson. Shady cabs are slightly safer.

beatport stage on monday looks like total fail.

MK followed by Anthony Rother looks like absolute win.

yes
All the scenester noobs will be most disappointed.
Unfortunately, no Minus afterparty means all said scenesters will flood the other parties!

that was a joke right?

Cause those are the three people I'm most glad are NOT playing this year.
Well, Benni Benassi is probably worse than all three I guess.

lol

anyone have any experience with the Motor City Casino? I haven't booked a hotel yet, the Mariott looks alright but its $160/night as opposed to the casino which is $125/night, has an 8000 sq ft spa, jacuzzis, plasmas in every room, and is only a mile away.
