Yeah, I agree for the most part. You should check out his Big Hands act though. Saw them at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor in the fall...had a good time. Telefon tel Aviv opened for them (RIP Charlie Cooper) =(

the reason I think it sucks is BECAUSE I have seen it
big hands = big fail

I'm a little indifferent on what to do Friday.

Obviously Oslo is the wise choice, but after hearing about this air conditioning issue I'm a little worried. I don't want to be miserable at that place...

I just saw Servito a few days ago w/ DP and a couple other Ghostly guys which was sick. Any updates on that party Friday night?

Posted by dubblies on Apr-26-2009 14:45:

No update yet for the party on Friday @ the Works, but Ryan Elliott just posted a set at Tangent Gallery for Sunday night 5/24/09. The rumors suggest it may develop into Jeff Mills, James Pennington (aka. Suburban Knight), Buzz Goree, Juan Atkins and Ryan Elliott with More TBA... Stay tuned I guess...

Jeff Mills - MySpace
Ryan Elliott - Ghostly International
Suburban Knight - MySpace
Buzz Goree - MySpace
Juan Atkins - MySpace

Well, as you may know from my previous posts, I'm probably #1 on the list of avoiding Oslo due to the heat, but I think I will still go on Friday.
My reasons being:
- The lineup isn't particular "huge" so I don't expect it to be as packed as it will be for Cassy the following night.
- I also don't expect it to be very packed since it is on Friday and a large bulk of the DEMF crowd will still not have arrived and...
- I expect most of the riff-raff will be at the official party with Prodigy.

It's a tiny place though, so I guess there's still the chance it could be too crowded and therefore hot, but I'm gonna take the gamble.

One of my friends was actually complaining about how hot the Works was last year... he hadn't gone to Oslo though.

oh, and as for your 2nd question:

Beretta music infos iz out:

Posted by The Highroller on Apr-27-2009 13:04:

Beretta looks interesting. I think I might go to that.

Why is it the "final chapter"? Are they not doing any more parties after this?

Nice find man.

Oslo has to be prioritized. I think your theory might just well be valid too. If worst comes to worst you can always bolt out the door and find somewhere else aka Servito party...2 very good options.

Not everyones taste.. but suprising at least..

05/24/09: Sander Van Doorn @ Bleu, Detroit

according to myspace..

they should put Cox/SVD together on the bill.. that would be ideal..

Anyone think we will see any afterparties from the big names? (IE Luciano, Cox, more)

I put that place on my map earlier for some other party and jesus, that shit might as well be in another state. Why the crap is anyone doing a party that far away?

Volatl just posted a new facebook event page for the 9-5 party:

For Nove, they must get a lot of the Royal Oak/Ferndale/Novi/etc. people that do not want to stay downtown the whole weekend.

Added it to the first post, definitely the right thread.

Hey dubblies:

Aside from Ryan Elliott, I have absolutely no desire to goto that. Shame he couldn't be at a different party.

Posted by dubblies on May-03-2009 21:33:

This will have to be played at least once at the Select Start Records party!
