Julia, I love you, but did it really take you this long to figure it out? lol. For as long as I've known you I wondered why the hell you were clubbing. I know you loved music but it always seemed to me that the number of negative experiences you had grossly outweighed the positive. I would have one of the best nights of my life only to read here how miserable of a time you had. I would have given up years ago if I was in your place.

As far as the after parties go, we hang around the same circle and I understand where you are coming from and why you end up at them. Doing it EVERY weekend gets very boring indeed. Especially if you're sober. Not only that but it really takes a toll on you. But please don't blame the people involved. Personally, I think the after parties have cut way back. Usually these days I know weeks in advance that a crazy weekend is coming up and we plan for it and usually have a ton of fun.

As far as drug use at clubs go, it just really doesn't bother me. That said, I practically never go to Avalon. I kind of laugh at the cracked the fuck out people I see anyways. However, we do go to completely different events these days as I love trance and you hate it. Everyone seems to act like drug use is so much more rampant at trance events. But on any given trance night, most, if not all my friends are sober. And by sober I mean a couple of drinks at most.

And going out clubbing on a Saturday night, doesn't have to preclude you from doing other things with you weekend. There is no way you can say Michelle and I don't have active, balanced lives outside of clubland. What else is going on at 11pm on a Saturday night? The things you want to do with your weekend really aren't going on or you could do them on any random weeknight. Personally, I love to go out and listen to some good music and socialize. It really doesn't prevent me from doing other things. Granted, after parties will completely kill your Sunday lol but that's an issue you need to deal with and really has nothing to do with the scene.

lol I honestly don't consider Kid Cudi's - Day & Night hip hop. It's kinda ironic how you say you're tired from the EDM scene and you been listening to top 40 etc, when that scene is switching to electro which you used to think it was cheesy. lol

Anyhow, it seems like you're trying to clense your life right now. If you truly want to get away from all the people doing drugs, than you need to distance your self from them. I'm sorry, but you're gonna have to choose your friends wisely. You know exactly what I mean. If those people are truly your friends, tell them how you feel and they should respect you by at least not doing drugs around you.

There's real friends who will always stand by you and will tell you what's truly in their mind, then and there's club buddy's. You choose.

Greg... I know you know what I mean.

Woody... You hit it SPOT ON!!!! and btw, I did mention that a lot of the stuff on the radio is garbage, including the wanna be electro stuff LOL!

Mikey... That version of Day & Night reminds me of something David Guetta would play

Believe it or not, that version goes off wherever you play it.

I might add that some friends who are chronic drug abusers do clean up and when they are sober they are much more fun to be around and are the same, fun loving people you first met before their drug addiction warped their personality and rubbed you the wrong way.
