I was very lucky not to get caught up in the traffic and get stuck. As soon as I saw 6 cops drive by me I asked my buddy to look at the highway cameras on his iphone and I took the lake shore exit from the Don Valley instead of going on the gardiner.

Although I do not agree with these protests in Toronto whatsoever, nor do I really agree with what the Tamils are protesting about, there are some pretty disgusting things that have been said about Tamils in this thread.

you know what the city should do. close the gardiner. get out all the police. get out all the news reporters. get out all the helicotper. send everyone home take all the attention away from the incident. and then start fixing the gardiner a bit since its closed. fill some potholes re paint the lines etc.

with no attention theyd go home

If Taliban followers were protesting the war in the middle east, and thats what we were discussing, would you say the same???

I know a few Tamils dudes ... and honestly, they don't give a fuck about anything really. When they form a group to hang, they really get out of control and have no respect for others around them.

Most of the times when things do get out of hand, they tend to get arrested and etc. From what I've heard, this same group I'm talking about gang **** this one girl during a night of drinking and etc.

I can't generalize their culture, because other's I've meet are not like this ... but majority of youths tend to act like this here, b/c they think it's just like home ... in Sri Lanka
