good times! but so damn cold..

Posted by nifty narcotix on May-19-2009 17:25:

I dropped by at 8, and left by 9. Music was great, but it was too effing cold.

I think I saw some of you guys leaving actually, but I was way too tired from the night before to run over and say hi.

What a great night! Thanks to everyone who made it! especially the people who helped clean up.. look out for promise cherry beach sundays starting soon..

Agreed, too cold! I can't wait until it gets warmer for these events, brrrrr! Best part of the evening was definitely the tree dancer.

We kept thinking he'd fall off.
Or the SUPER wasted/high dude in the red shirt. He kept going for 2+ hours nonstop.

I was disappointed to see the tree guy get down so soon. I was hoping he'd be there until the end.

The guy in the red shirt was classic. He seemed to be the only sketch there (as far as I could tell). Everyone else looked pretty sober.

Great end to a great weekend. I will definitely hit more of these parties this summer.

There was all sorts of sketch!!! LOL. too much to name. When it was light we were sitting up on the hill and just watching everything that was going on. Highly entertaining.

QFT

I don't think I've ever been so scared in my life, haha.

Some highlights:

- being chased by a flock of seagulls
- red and green power rangers
- blueberries
- sasquatch people
- a multicolored power ranger giving birth to a primary color on the road
- "Ursala" the large water demon covered in toilet paper with her band of queer followers
- a kung fu battle between a "monkey" and a mountain climber
- the "parade"
- Shamu sightings

Didn't really get a chance to jam to the tunes, but they made great background music to our adventure. Left after it got dark.. couldn't deal with the thought of what kind of sketch would be seen if the daylight was scary enough. LOL.

Don't think I'll be back at cherry beach for a while, sadly.

LOL

And it really did get warmer around 10 or so... was about 10 when I left, which was reasonable for just a sweater. Next time I'm busting out the snow suit though.

I kept thinking "Um i hope he doesn't fall backward and break his neck."

Posted by Playa24_7 on May-20-2009 02:47:

I got there at about 4:30pm and left at about 8pm roughly. I had fun just hanging with friends, and got in the crowd a bit to dance it up. I'm too skinny for that damn cold though haha, but I will be back when it is warmer for sure. I saw so many different characters around everywhere and I thought it added to the fun for the MOST part haha.

I had an amazing evening. It was my only party of the long weekend, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Lots of friends, good music, and good vibes.

I loved the drum circle and the trumpet guy near the front right of the DJ booth. I usually don't like stuff like that, but these guys were really good, and had a circle of people around them going crazy.

I can't wait for more Cherry Beach fun this summer.
