There are heroes among us, some already are heroes and some have the potential to become a hero. We as humans need to know when to use our instincts and when to second-think the decisions and events that happen to us.

Stereoprincess - your last post was truly beautiful and supports your original post. A lot of people get angry and frustrated at first but usually forget about what has happened and focus on the positive.

lol. i understand your side, all i am doing is being dramatic. i am sorry that it offends you that i say my life sucks. but that's how i felt at the time i wrote the original post. i just wanted to reach out to people that may sometimes feel the same way.

even from your post i can tell that sometimes you feel that way.

any situation can be placed in a positive perspective. even your sisters situation can be. she has the opportunity to use her experience to help other kids and it could drive her to help many others which i am sure she does already. eventho the little girl passed away she has touched the lives of others to appreciate their lives.

tbh margs, my comments weren't really directed to you. your first post was obviously just you being upset about the situation and the rest were frustrated but lighthearted. it was a lot of the follow-up comments. people saying that they have come to the conclusion that life truly does suck. that nothing good ever happens to them. that they are still waiting for the good. like c'mon.
and yea, i often get frustrated with stuff. i get mad at things that happen..thats inevitable. most often very stupid things. can't find a good pair of shoes to wear out (yesterday)..my paper sounds like crap compared to the girls i'm proofreading (now). you know me. i'm more an dramatic mess than you are!

and my sister is happier than she has ever been...living in a mud hut in sudan as opposed to her bigass house in kincardine.

and kamka, don't confuse ungratefulness and self-absorption with depression.

Something always happens for a reason.
Nothing is coincidence or error.
There is something bigger there for you to learn.
When you learn it...that's when you know your life has come full circle.

lol. actually, i got an estimate this morning and it's 1600 in damages.

the whole hood needs to be replaced, painted and blended with the rest of the car. the part itself is only 250 bucks but the painting and blending, headlamp readjusting add up to tons of labour costs. which could have been avoided if the guy just owned up to his mistake and fixed it.

i am sorry but in this case, this is just the biggest bunch of bullshit i ever read.

the only lesson here is to never trust anyone with anything. and to fix the problem all you can do is take it up the ass from people because they have tons of lawyers in their pocket and you got nothing but a 1600 dollar repair on your hands.

i don't trust the courts to do the right thing, i don't trust the guy to do the right thing and basically people in general are made to take advantage of situations and not take the blame for their actions if they have a chance at it.

The reality is that something like this will never be seen by a lawyer nor would it see the inside of a court room. If you were to make a claim against the business then the liability insurance carrier would handle the claim. As long as they are liable for the damages then they would cover the costs.

do you think i should go through my insurance for this?

do you think that i should make an accident claim with the police also?

PS. Basically that's the whole reason why I am so bummed by this whole situation. It really is going to cost these people nothing and I get fucked.

there is no need to go to the police. If you go through your own insurance then you will have to pay your deductible. However, your insurance company will try and subrogate against the at fault party for this and you should recoup your deductible.

I would suggest putting a claim through the at fault party first and if you get no where with them then go through your own insurance. Make sure you keep all paper work and take photographs of the damages.

obviously they are being uncooperative, so is there a way to find out the policy and insurance company of a business?
