some of you probabaly do many drugs because your getting paranoid about kazaa... ive been using the full version of kazaa for more than a year and i see nothing wrong with it at all with no lag on my computer... you just probabaly need more RAM or something... everyone use kazaa!!! winmx sucks dick... takes forever to find a song and after you do it takes forever trying to connect... and it looks like crap, but that dont really matter
kazza has security issues.. i dont trust that shit.. i'm currently using soulseek and i love it!

ohh shiet, soulseek is really good guys...
but also join the dc hub in my sig
;P
I've been using WinMX for a while. It takes a while to load at the beginning, but it's nice because it tells you the bitrate of the songs (a la napster) and also lets you ping the hosts, so you're almost always guaranteed a decent connection speed. Now that people are turning away from AG, the song selection has also become a lot better. So here's a vote for WinMX.
I definitely think that DC is the way to go.
Unfortunately I will miss Audiogalaxy greatly, hopefully there will be a clone coming soon
Soulseek brings back memories of Napster, and I think of all the sharing programs I've tested so far, this has the most potential to replace AG for electronic music.. hopefully all AG users will eventually migrate to there and then things will be back to normal
Re: The ALTERNATIVES to AG
I insist on edonkey guys. anyone who tried it kept it.
check www.sharereactor.com www.filenexus.com musicdonkey.da.ru just to see what sort of stuff go around on it.
with edonkey files can be linked off websites similar to AG and added to the queue. the home page is www.edonkey2000.com
currently mostly used for movies and warez and unlike DC it can download from hundred of sources for the same file and ur downloads become shared to others as soon as u start downloading thus not losing any time and contributing quicker.
i've been on this network for more than 6 months and it keeps growing. there is no kind of spyware or anything in it (at least none that I heard of) and proabably will be the last p2p proggie to close down due to its decentralised architecture.
hi :-D
okay, to the inside
Direct connect, is pretty good, we can have a private server, so no one can cut us down
Edonkey, pretty good, BUT... this little p2p catalogs every one of your files, internally splitting them into 9 meg files, using md5 checksum it has the ability to make sure the file you downloaded is exactly like the original, the problem, is that it takes for ever to do this when you start the program, and most of trance songs are 9 megs, so we dont need this much security
Soulseek, never used it, but it will come down soon, since its for music.
I go for Direct Connect
I use Edonkey for donwload from the DAP MST3K project
I can't seem to even open the Soulseek webpage. Is it down for some reason?
hey, i know which one to use
winMx
