Matt Dear. Snoozefest

PVD (from back when i listened to trance) - Showed up an hour late and looked like he was pissed the entire time. On top of that I couldn't really get into the stuff he was playing.

Also, don't scare me with that Sasha & Digweed stuff lol. I've been eager to hear them for a long time and finally will next month.

Posted by notelfreak on Jun-18-2009 20:05:

i saw pvd once.

the cd he played skipped and like a litle bitch he stormed off without even playing an hour of his set.

just dont go in with any expectations and you should be fine...seen them a few times
i think people are just over the really prog stuff right now and at one point these guys were so big, they feel the need to talk shit now cause they are almost stuck in the older sound...

same thing happened to me a little over a year ago. same damn tune for two hours.

above and beyond

sucked chapped ass last year, not only was the music bad, somebody spilled jager all over me, which is such a heinous waste of jager, it gives you one of those irrational urges to cry, like when your ice cream falls off the cone and splatters on the ground, and it wasnt even my friggin drink.

The second time I ever went to Gatecrasher was in May 99 and Sasha did a 4hr set which was stunning. He did another 4hr set a few months later and played 4 hours of Breakbeat. The people who I spoke to at least were pretty pissed off as were we as we just wanted to hear some banging Trance. We just stood around chatting for 4 until Scott Bond came on and totally smashed it.

I saw him at Crasher in September 2000 and he played the Tiesto mix of Silence 3 times

Sasha & John Digweed B2B

I've seen them both solo in the past and they play much better alone.

paul van dyk @ sky (Austin, TX) - October 2008

I expected him to just completely kill it, but I was just completely underwhelmed.

I'm usually readily amused too, so these people were pretty gash.

That's too bad about Jimmy Van M. I saw him at Pacha in Buenos Aires and he killed it right till 8AM when I left.

I saw him in April and he fucking killed it twice as hard as I thought he would.

his essential mix is one of the best things I ever heard, so beautifull and full of emotions.

So would a lot of people. But there's a time and a place for it. Gatecrasher was all about Trance and everyone I spoke to voiced their disapproval. I dare say some people loved it but on the whole it didn't really work out, the crowd were quite sombre in comparison to how they normally were.

They soon came to life when Scott Bond appeared

Posted by Mr Game+Watch on Jun-22-2009 15:11:

Gabriel and Dresden at Pacha in 2006 (2007?), right before they broke up... absolutely horrible - piss-poor mixing and no idea whatsoever how to structure a set, went from anthemic prog house back and forth to overplayed tech-house tracks. Not to mention the crowd was typical Pacha guido trash.
