I hope "and more" is the headliner...

Posted by Tosh on Aug-21-2009 01:05:

WOW!!!
REALLY???
NO ONE HERE IS GOING TO BE HAPPY!
hahahahahaha
i am excited but i guess the trance room will be in the side room like it was years ago....

Posted by dorkiedanny on Aug-21-2009 01:07:

is there nething going on at ruby skye that night? lol

Posted by V Man27 on Aug-21-2009 01:07:

this makes me think the Main Room will not be Trance.... sucks...

Posted by Tosh on Aug-21-2009 01:18:

I'm sad.... This is so much like SoCals raves are. EDC this year did this same thing! Is electro and house that much more popular that its worth brining out these djs for the money? Are they cheaper or bring bigger crowds or what? Even the floats didnt get me excited,....
Gotta do what you gotta do but......
WHERE IS THE TRANCE

Posted by dorkiedanny on Aug-21-2009 01:20:

well, i think my friends and i are just going to the day parade, and going to hit up a club afterwards! i'll just go to monster to see armin!

Hope they don't stiff him on the time slot... how would the flow go?

Dyloot -> O'bir (cuz he's the unknown of the group) -> Moor -> Menno -> Eddie (if he's not in the main room playing house) -> JOC

Who is... Burns? this guy? http://www.myspace.com/burnsdj

great line up! looks like it's going to be a great weekend!

Posted by Tosh on Aug-21-2009 01:39:

i think we will ditch our tickets and spend the money going do to Nocturnal instead of hitting the After Party...
All of my friends are backing out now, and raving alone isnt much fun...

house head or u get comped? LOL

Posted by bigherm on Aug-21-2009 01:43:

hope Dan and Donald get a good slot cause thery are the Bees knees when they play together. dam baby!

Posted by Sadface on Aug-21-2009 01:47:

Wow i'm surprised so many people are complaining... This lineup looks pretty dope. A bunch of lesser-known trance guys instead of the same "top 4" names which come to every skills party, and a house lineup that actually looks like fun, but then again I have a really soft spot for deadmau5.

Posted by y2yen on Aug-21-2009 01:49:

might actually skip this if trance is put in the side room. this makes me sad

Posted by Lira Yin on Aug-21-2009 01:55:

yeah, I'm disappointed. Out of all the events I've been to over on the East Coast over here, deadmau5 has put on the most disappointing and underwhelming set I've ever heard.

I really hope there're still announcements to come, but I doubt it. You'll find me hanging wherever the trance is playing, and shadowing JOC/Andy Moor/Menno. Excited to hear them all, for sure.

lineup isnt very good....as soon as the eddie ruby gig was pulled back, I knew we'd see him in october and when the rat's show was cancelled at regency figured he might be a slotted for this night.

I would let Eddie play a couple hours and give the Rat his proper time for a live set since most people would want to see/hear those two rock the house.

groove armada <---------- blast from the past!

people get spoiled,they wanted
Armin, Ferry, Markus.

I was hoping for Above & Beyond with Anjunabeats 7 coming out soon, we'd get to hear the new music...
like last year when Armin played a lot of ASOT 2008 in his set... everytime I listen to ASOT 2008, it brings me back to that night... and how amazing it was... one of the best parties in a long time... AVB, A&B, ATB, K&A, and... DV... lol

Posted by bigperf on Aug-21-2009 02:18:

well A&B did come out to the city a couple times last year, i recall they did a virgin megastore appearance on market street so hopefully you caught them then.

I'm most disappointed with eddie getting booked for it since i would want to see him play a full set at a club not an hour long at one of these 18+ events.

****THIS POST IS OF MY OWN ACCORD THIS POST IS OF MY OWN ACCORD THIS POST IS OF MY OWN ACCORD****
****THIS POST IS OF MY OWN ACCORD THIS POST IS OF MY OWN ACCORD THIS POST IS OF MY OWN ACCORD****

Of course not everyone is going to be please.

No matter what the lineup is a group of people would complain.

If it's this or that DJ, it's the same DJ every time.
If it's this other DJ or act, oh they are doing the same thin every time.
If it's this other DJ, I didn't like him one time.

That's fine. It's your fault for getting yourself so amped up for the lineup announcement.

You have to understand that so much goes on to when booking these events. And sometimes it's just NOT POSSIBLE to get all the top acts that maybe you all want to see. Maybe there are other politics involved.

And don't even compare it to LA events...which are much easier to organizer from start-to-finish from all accounts I've gathered over the years. It's all stuff that would take a lot of detail to explain and I don't feel like it...but yeah, it's seems much easier to get events organized in LA (and dealing with the city intself amonth other things)

****PLEASE FORGIVE THE FOLLOWING CAUSE I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!! AND REMEMBER, IT"S OF MY OWN F'N ACCORD****

Bigperf....stop pissing everywhere. It's getting old very fast. For everyone. Thank you, good night.

Hearing these at the After Party would have been
http://www.anjunabeats.com/anjunabe...ove-and-beyond/

Guess we'll just have to wait for them to hit up Ruby Skye again... sigh...

Do you think they'll stick Eddie in the House Room or would he be the Trance headliner?

And weren't they doing only 2 rooms this year? That's a lot of people already for 2 rooms... the "And More" seems tacked on...
