Just got inside now. It's just before 11 and it looks pretty tight. Small lounge setting, will be up close and personal. Hopefully it just won't get too packed. Unfortunately this opening DJ is playing shit you'd expect to hear on a trendy electronic station.
Ugh. Shitty remixes of Miracle and the Launch. I hope PVD gets here soon lol.
Keep us updated!!
About an hour into his set. Kinda started slow but then he kicked into high gear about 20 mins in. Up and down in some parts but mostly BANGIN!!!!
Ya I liked the first hour alot - but I couldn't take the sardine can and had to get out of there. I always end up next to the annoying kids with glow sticks or the guy who won't stop blowing his whistle. That venue seemed way too packed to me, wish it could have stayed at the Ritz. 5$ valet was great though.
Haha I know right. I think the code calls for 1500, but there's an easy 2K in here.
Daft Punk remixes never get old, but that one of Around the World never took off like it could have. Same with the higher state of conciousness rmx earlier.
thanks for keeping us updated. guess he loves that daft punk --> around the world transition at the moment. and if he does that at space, im calling it, ITS GAY!
Don't worry bro, he kinda went into a lull for about 20 mins, but the last 30-40 mins have been MIND BLOWING!!!

lol, he just got so caught up in a breakdown he forgot to throw the lows back in. He's havin a blast tho!
lmao, he just did it again. I'm right off to the side of the stage a few feet away...the look on his face was priceless.
OMG... Some moron in the tech booth just cut his power off, he was was pissed. Then he threw it right into time of our lives!!!
First half of the set I wasn't too thrilled with. Towards the end, however, pretty decent, had me moving for sure... Or trying to, at least. Club was waaayyy too crowded, I could barely move my hands, much less dance!
Back to our place now. They kept jacking with him for the last 10 mins starting at 2:50. I don't know why they do that shit. He knows he's gotta be off at 3, why kill the vibe and piss off the guy who is makin your club a shit ton of cash???
Anyway, he was real cool afterward signing alot and taking pictures. The wife was lucky enough to get one with him.
Overall, the few small annoyances thru the night were outweighed by a killer show. If he plays anything similar tomorrow night, you guys won't be disappointed.
Time for bed, been up since 430a on friday morning for the black Friday sales and I'm starting to get delerious lol. Peace.

Woooo thanks you guys! How long was the set? I heard it may be from 12am-4am...
No idea on the Washington set, didn't catch that one.
He only played from 1230-3. But I'd guess there's a good chance he'll play longer at Space. He didn't wanna stop last night, but I guess it's Tampa ordinance? I'm not sure bc we drove down from Jacksonville.
Anyway I hope he brings the noise tonight! Have fun guys!
Damn I hope he plays until 4:30 or 5 or something. We can only hope. They should let him because wtf he's the one that's bringing the crowd not Cedric lol.
1-3am he was on
nah it was 1230a-3a...not that it really matters.
not nearly as crowded as I expected and plenty of room to move around..
it was a good set, but I don't really listen as intently as I used to..
i hung in the back most of the night, but at the end made it up close fairly easily about 3 or 4 back from the front...
this was by far the easiest for me to see PvD that didn't involve some 4+hr drive from my house to miami (although I did have to drive 4+hrs from Tally post thanksgiving, ohh. the irony)
This was my 19th time seeing PvD and would like to see him again just to make it a round 20, but these shows are all the same..
The Tampa crowd was much older than I expected too so kudos to us for that.
and I drank too much... ha

This was a crap show really
I had taken a one year sabbatical from DJ shows and decided to get back to partying starting with PvD show at the Kennedy.
First the opening DJ, whenever he could transition without a train-wreck kept playing some crap (which was still getting the crowd to keep jumping up and down - i don't know how people manage that). Finally, after a long torturous wait, PvD showed up (12:30 or maybe 12:45 - can't remember exactly). If part-one with the opening DJ wasn't bad enough, part-two, with PvD was horrible. Atleast the opening DJ can be excused - i hadn't spent $40 to hear him.
The bottomline - i left at around 2:15 or so - unable to bear it any longer. If this is what is left of top-rated EDM shows/sets/DJs, we are staring at a dead-wood.
DJs need to get back to being DJs.
