I love the person talking about how we take Tiesto for granted and listing all of his past accomplishments.

Anyone who actually liked Tiesto in the past for his MUSIC (not for being a fanboy) could not possibly like this.

It's good shit. I'm bored as fuck right now so I keep upping the negative reviews.

I have friends that paid 50 bucks to go see him tonight....

I drew the straw for reviewing this, and had to get quite wasted in the process just to be able to listen to it all:

As entertaining as it was to read that, I did wonder which part of that was the review?

I didn't really find any music to review.

that's got to be one of the best and funniest reviews I've ever read, thanks

You'll be amazed how many people completely ignore our opinions, click those links and buy an album we've just slated. It would be frustrating if we didn't get a cut of the sale.

On the other hand, whenever we see a sale made of something we gave a high recommendation, it makes it all worth while!

Funny review, particularly liked

"most of the punters who aren't distracted by the aching urge to fuck another member of the dancefloor will yawn"

Just out of interest System J, did you think the opeening track was shit. I actually thought that particular track was quite good, bar the last 2 mins where it turns wank.

Other than that, yeah the whole album is as you described...

I actually made it eight seconds past one minute listening to You Are My Diamond.

Do I get an award?

I found it literally painful to listen to because it was so over-compressed it was making my ears hurt. It wasn't that the tune was particularly bad, but that awful repetitive "vweeeerp vweeeerp vweeeerp" pad sound he used becomes disgusting when listened to on decent equipment. And then, when you've waited for the track to actually reach a destination, it turns into a crap anthem.

As amusing as this little rant was, calling it a "review" is just a sad joke from your side I presume. Choked up close-minded anger would be a better word.

The sky is blue.

I openly admit that, by all conventional criteria, this is the worst review I have ever written. It is a terrible piece of journalism that doesn't even attempt to be informative or lucid.

I'm quite pleased with how it turned out, actually.

Tiesto deserves nothing more.

Posted by tubularbills on Oct-23-2009 01:16:

i didn't look at a track listing or anything before purchasing this. i really only bought it so i could know what to expect at his show that i'm going to in a few days.

in any case, i gave it a listen today; and only liked a few tracks, of which one was Fresh Fruit. was probably my favorite on here.

Posted by yROMAN on Oct-23-2009 07:32:

The only tracks, in my opinion, that are worth a listen on this new indietronica Tiesto album are "Here On Earth" (hopefully, there will be some great remixes for that one), "I Am Strong" and "Louder Than Boom". Everything else just made me go , and NOT in a good way. Farewell to yet another [formerly] great Trance DJ /Producer.

The man's bodyguards heard the shot; fortunately for Tijs, it took them 64 bars to start doing anything.

Based on the reviews of this album so far, it seems like a lot of you followed Tiesto a lot!

I have too and really enjoyed his old tunes having grown up during his rise to the top of the trance world! I hear you guys, his style is undoubtedly different having collaborated with so many well known artists.

But the album is great if you can listen to it with open ears. Granted some are stronger than others as with any album (I personally love Kaleidoscope, Escape Me and I Am Strong) but I can tell that it's all a part of Tiesto's creative evolution. Props to him for going there!

Man some of you need to go on Amazon Online and read some of the reviews. Just out right comical for some of the reviews... This CD for me is best used as a Coffee Coaster, Pure Garbage! They need to turn this thread into a poll if they like, dislike or No opinion! My choice is Dislike!
