if the_voice were in your situation, he wouldn't have to take the toefl. How does that make you feel?

EDIT: someone shoot me if that situation were to ever materialize, as that would indicate The_Voice would be applying for a PHD.

PS: I recently read an article of how disenfranchised german students are , and your frustration definitely affirms it

I am at my parents' house packing a lot of the stuff I have here, as I am moving back to Toronto tomorrow. There is a knock at the front door and my aunt calls for me to answer it because she was doing something in the kitchen. This fat chick is standing on the front porch and starts asking if we are interested in green energy as opposed to our regular hydro.

My mom has had a migraine all day so she's taking a nap in her room and my dad is out of town (he goes away for two weeks every 3 months for his job).

Now, I actually think my dad might be down for this. After talking to this girl for a minute, she said it's pretty much cost effective and you get the same, if not better services. My dad is old-fashioned but he does care about his carbon footprint.

She asked to speak to whoever takes care of the bills at the house. I told her my dad was out of town til Thursday. She asks to speak to my mother and I told her my mother was sleeping. She goes "Actually, no she's not. I just heard her telling you to answer the door"

I couldn't fucking believe her audacity! I told her it was my aunt who she had heard. She goes "Right. And your dad is out of town" and rolls her eyes at me.

I tried not to be offended and asked her politely if there was a number my dad could call for more information about this. She hands me a sheet of paper with info on it and goes "You know it's really disrespectful when people lie to us, when we're walking door-to-door in this heat trying to promote our cause. Especially because this cause would benefit everyone in the long run"

It took all of my energy not to fucking tell her off. I felt bad because she was fat and sweating and walking around in the sun.

Dumb bitch.

edit: call up the office and tell her how rude and disrespectful one of their employees "i didn't get her name but it was the fat sweaty bitch"
