My family had lots of slaves. I swear to god I read a will(in my family) that said "and i leave my negro boy Toby to..." whoever.

At least name your slaves something unique ffs

Sorry, where did I say that all white people enslaved black people, or that all white people are linked to slavery, or that you or anyone else today should feel guilty about what happened back then? My ancestors did not hold slaves either (came to U.S. after slavery ended), and I feel no so-called "white guilt." There's no need for insults and "fuck yous." If you think I am trying to guilt you or anybody, perhaps you should reread my posts in this thread.

I know that and that's the entire point. It doesn't just stay within the boundaries of the States, it spreads. Comments like that insinuate that white man is evil and groups us all together.
People drop the word racism far too much these days anyway.

People will always latch onto any excuse to make life easier for themselves. It's like in Croatia right now where about half of the male population are on "defence pensions" for being in the war, when the majority of us know for a fact that more than half of those barely even picked up a gun and only get it because they were enlisted. They don't deserve it and likewise a lot of black people take advantage of certain benefits which a lot of them don't deserve. They are just using it as an excuse and making a mockery of the people who actually are affected by racism.

But I didn't say "white man is evil" or anything of the sort, I said that the situations of most blacks and most whites living in the U.S. have been quite different historically, which is simply correct. Institutionalized Racism is just another term used to keep racism in the face of people. There may have been some creditability to the term when it was created in the 60s.

The reality is Whites are always "racist", just by virtue of being white, separate and apart from their treatment of blacks, however honorable or benign that treatment may be.

Just 40 years ago minorities were getting beaten up, lynched, thrown at with stones, getting their property firebombed, etc. It really isn't that long ago. Don't think minorities should just forget about it just because things are getting better. Just 28 years ago Vincent Chin was mistaken for a Japanese by a laid-off white autoworker and beaten to death. He didn't recieve any jail time.

Basically, whites have done some real fucked up shit not too long ago, some people still have a hard time getting over it, too bad.

let them have their pride and separate college fraternities and TV channels. we did some fucked up shit to them and we STILL don't treat them equally...racism is absolutely out there in probably about 80% of america and is still passed down from generation to generation. especially out in texas and colorado and all of the midwest.
