You have a first name and a last initial. You were the one crying for us to post our voices in your gay ass surprise threads. and if you read posts in other forums other than the ones you hijack and whore up, you would see that my and lots of other peoples pictures and information is scattered throughout these forums. How the hell do we know you dont talk about us outside the forums? you dont talk to anyone from the forums. I want to see what you look like. I dont want to meet you, so please dont flatter yourself. And the only thing worth paying you for is to disappear. I would gladly contribute to that cause. I'm going to bed, I have very little patience for you right now, I get paid to deal with morons all day, I don't want to do it on my time off as well.

good night *****

*****, I'm not giving into your self pity and your "let's turn every thread I'm in about to a thread about me" attitude. This thread had nothing to do with you, although you've tried (unfortunately fairly successfully), as usual. So I'm just going to continue on in the thread as if you don't even exist - b/c that would make everyone's life a lot better.

Don't bother responding to me with your "I have done nothing to you, I don't know why you're being rude to me. I respect everyone's taste in music. I have been making music on TA and mixing hip hop with trance way longer than anybody else." I don't give a shit, and I've heard it all before...in EVERY single post you make b/c all you do is reiterate your words and they are meaningless.

And as for backing up my argument with examples...I think you've had enough with everyone else's youtube posts, so point made. You lose. You are in ABSOLUTELY NO WAY an innovator. As some people have already said it, you're nothing but a coward.

BACK TO THE ORIGINAL POST....I'm a fan of remixes of alternative music, pop music, hip hop etc. As long as it's done well. I'd have to hear the song first. There are some that I really like...and others that I don't.

Waits for *****'s predictable, and repetitive post saying "Why are you being rude. I have never been rude to you, but have respected your opinion. Just b/c Tiesto is doing what I've done years ago, doesn't mean he hasn't copied me."

What people consider urban music now, didn't even exist in 1982. Planet Rock spawned electro funk, miami bass, freestyle among other genres, not to mention pushing hip hop into the mainstream.

Damn hip hop people have been stealing for ages.

you crackers are all upset because blacks make better music then you

Posted by T_ALI on Aug-28-2009 12:37:

lol *****, u don't know what the fuck u're talking about.

...and yes I am pissy cause its Tiesto. He use to be such a great DJ BACK in the day but now he's gone completey downhill. I hate it when DJs/artists go mainstream and completely fuck up their style.

Some collaborations are pretty good but I prefer DJs who stick to EDM.

ps Didn't trance music start in goa at those anjuna beach parties, and after that developed in Germany?

A girl I go to school with did her undergrad in music, and we were talking about EDM awhile ago. I was so annoyed by what she said I literally had to excuse myself from the conversation.

In a nutshell she said that she cannot respect "techno music" b/c none of it is original, it's all stolen. I argued to her that she must not respect a lot of music (i.e. definitely not rap, pop music, even rock music). She said she did respect those artists b/c they were original. I questioned where she got her music degree, and how many classes (or lecture even) on electronic music she'd even had. For someone who received their degree in music, I was quite shocked.

Ya, that's what I'm saying. Some mixes are good, but not all. It'll be interesting to see what he puts out.

How can you claim to be a trend setter or "ahead of the curve" when you yourself post an example of this from 27 years ago?

"Urban" and "EDM" come from very similar places if we look at the history of the music.

what elements do you use? I have no idea what you're talking about...

I've really stopped paying attention to the other threads...but have you posted a mix yet? I don't think so, but point me to one if I'm out of the loop here.

I think many people here are annoyed because you act as if you're doing something revolutionary that no one else is doing, yet fail to demonstrate exactly what that is.

no one is asking for your secrets or to show exactly how you make the music. let's just hear some of it! post some examples of what you're doing and PROVE to TAs that it's "pioneering" work...because there is a lot of doubt here in that regard.

but you won't. I already know that your reply will be more talk and nothing more...

Bahahahaha, well I'll give you credit where credit is due, you may very well be the first person in Canada to make the most horrible bootleg mashups imaginable AND spam your name all over the place. Most shitty producers have a little more tact than that, so, kudos to you.

Yeah, buddy, somebody already posted your "secret" in your big thread from however many weeks ago, you teach other people how to make crap mixes like yours. I hate to break it to you, but you're not pioneering that field either, there are entire schools dedicated to this craft and even most community colleges have a couple of courses like this. I know because I took one, about 15 years ago. The difference is, again, that most of the other people doing it actually know what they're doing.

This whole thread is full of proof. As Az pointed out, YOU yourself posted proof!

hip hop and dance music used to be called hip house in the early 90s

I'm calling today's combinations "Crunk House"

Y'all are welcome to use this genre title if that helps.

Doug Lazy instantly comes to mind. A really commercial hip hop house track was Jason Nevins VS Run DMC in 1996. Its not a new concept.

I do like that name, but the genre already has a name: booty house or ghetto house. (Or ghetto tech, booty breaks, whatever the main genre is)

Posted by Sly_Guy on Aug-28-2009 20:46:

isn't hip hop and offshoot of breakbeat? Isn't breakbeat a subgenre in electronic music? Don't breakbeats and house share a common ancestry in soul and funk? This is nothing new.

it is annoying when people say Trance isnt music usually its because they are prejudist to the Trance format, thats why i put in a format that people who dont listen to trance can understand

one song, that's it?

so it's just more talk...as predicted. why would anyone here pay for your work when there is an endless supply of high quality music a few mouse clicks away for free or for a very low cost.

all I'm saying is perhaps you'd be taken seriously here if you actually provide more example of your 'pioneering' work instead of just replying to pretty much every post about you with what amounts to "trust me"

actually you are wrong. Breakbeat and hip hop came about very much at the same time, however hip hop as we know it is a later invention. Early hip hop is simply battle DJs going at breakbeats [hence the name 'hip hop' meaning the hip sounds of hopping between the records].

House differs from breakbeat in it's baseline structure, although the do share 4-4 time [house is 1,2,3,4, where breakbeat is 1,2,3and4]. Breakbeats as an origin draw off of funk and soul, house does so through disco, where disco shares funk and soul as an ancestor.

Trance itself is an offshoot of early techno, which has it's roots based in house. The structure of trance is identical to house as they're both in the simple one bassline hit per beat in 4-4 time, the notable difference being the relative speed of trance to house in their BPMs [and of course the weak sappy-ness of the trance melodies...haha].

yeah the drums patterns are different i already noticed that every style of music has something distinct about it usually with the drums

breakbeats go further than that but technology changed what breakbeats are

it cant be the same if its different, just because it shares the 4x4 doesnt make it the same

I believe Techno creators acknowledge & cite Kraftwerk as inspiration

House comes more from Disco imo

Trance not so much it has different origins imo

Trance does share something common with Techno other than the music similarities take a wild guess what it is
