Going back for round two at the airport today...

This time, we're going to the north side Avitat on Derry because that's where the Snowbirds, Angels, F16's, 18's, and the Sabre are parked...

Getting great pics and video from no more than 50' away...

Dude you should go to the infield. Go east on Britannia off Dixie. You can be right up close to the runway.

They were using 05L so no view from that road...

Dixie itself is right at the base of that runway...

But I'm much happier with standing 75' away from the Angels #6 and watching their whole preflight and postflight routine...

Guys I hate to burst your bubbles but the Raptor doesn't actually hover...

What it's doing is stalling really...

It's vectored thrust gives it the ability to recover from this stall which other aircraft can't do so they don't do the "hover" trick...

Has the F18 been doing it's low speed flyby???

Now THAT's an amazing maneuver...

i really liked the p-51, f-16 and f-22 formation! was awesome

I guess its the f16 thats smaller than the f22 as shown in the pic.

Well our wonderful Snowbirds just did a little flyby...

I suppose it's their way of saying goodbye and thanx to us...

Nothing better than spend a Sunday afternoon tanning a the Sunnyside beach and watch the air show over the lake. It was the best spot to watch it and no need to pay $15 hehe
