i mean come on. Sampling is an essential part of hip hop music, but it has to be done right. Kanye just steals whole songs chorus' and everything, then puts on a backpack uses someone else's lyrics and tells everything he is a genius.
i'll never forgive that hack for what he did to 808 heartbreak.

For all those who believe Kanye West possesses a shred of talent (and consequently is, in some way or another, original), I would like you to elaborate.
Personally, I've listened to about, say, five-six songs of his (all of them at least thrice), and absolutely nothing, when compared to other mainstream hiphop songs, strikes me as innovative. You would think, as he's this so-called talented artist (and music's messiah of sorts--by his own admission), that I, the everyday joe, would, upon hearing his music, be, considering his genius, in the least bit wowed. Whether or not I like hiphop is irrelevant, for genius, one can say, transcends (or so I've been led to believe) said boundry.
And besides: this Taylor Swift sings country pap, and I think, deep down inside, she knows this and is resolved to temper her ego and show a little humbleness. Mister West should perhaps do the same, since he produces, essentially, hiphop pap.

when i think of my favorite rappers, he doesn't come to mind but i still like some of his stuff and i don't deny his talent/popularity. there's far more talented rappers out there than him. i have a couple of his albums on my computer and listen to them from time to time.
Man I use to be a huge fan of hiphop\RnB (late 80 early 90). Now it's full of these bags like kanye and black eye pea's.
