and btw it was advertised as a "non rocking show". does this mean that everyone should have went wearing white gloves and tuxedos and not do anything other than golf claps?
get the fuck out of here.
You just lost a lot of respect in my eyes. I know, you're too cool to care though.
the first right thing that you have said.
edited because it wasn't very nice.
if you want people to care about respect, back something up for once.
Eeek too much hatred
... Peace and love y'all...
That reminds me.. Sied Van Riel @ Circus was an amazing event.
Felt good to see one of the new upcoming dj's and he did an amazing set.

never mention the word "girlfriend" if you don't know her
edit: also i have to mention the delta heavy tour at sona, because it was one of the only times that the nazi with a lisp let me into "the secret" bar.

While I was reading some of your posts I tought to my self "damn I am getting old...."....
Here are my top partys:

- Bal en Blanc at Metropolis (was much smaller back then).
- There is also a special night we had at (((Stereo))) maybe 3 years ago! What a crazy night it was!!!!!!

magical day it was
First time at Stereo was when Holden played... that was an epic night. What year was that??? The sound system + Holden basslines was unbelievable! Was completely sober that night and never stoped dancing.

- Richie Hawtin vs Ricardo @ Pik Nik
- Pole & Band / Deadbeat at the Nocturn after
I remember that weekend being all drizzly and being bummed out at the prospect of piknik being moved inside. Heading to the park, and eventually the clouds parting, the crowd cheering the sun and then an amazing set. I have it recorded on my iPod and it still gets frequent play.
I then remember heading to the closing Nocturne. Initially when I arrived, it was super ambient/chill stuff and thinking to myself "if i'm going to stand here and listen to this all night, I need a smoke" - went outside, had a few puffs and came back in.
Pole & Band was starting, I put my fingers into my ears (on top of earplugs) thinking "what the hell?", it was just this massive wall of sound - and thinking to myself "I dont know if I like this or not..." until it eventually built into one of the highlights of the weekend for me. It grew on me in an infectious way and eventually I was up front dancing up a storm.
Deadbeat blew me away after and have been a fan of his ever since.
The year I did the Stereo 48hour marathon party was also a pretty epic and memorable weekend. Thank god for in & out - went back to my friends place to crash 2 or 3 times - then heading back after a few hours of sleep. All in all I was probably there for nearly 30 or so hours in total.

i was reminiscing about beastie boys and jamaroquai at metropolis the other this weekend with some friends.
i danced hard.
it was kinda funny because for the beastie show (they played bc the same week) you were supposed to dress "chic". No one did except me and my girlfriend nad a few others. Mike D said thanks to us. Take that jesus pose.
