also, it's better to have kids and treat them right/raise them properly because when you're old and need to wear diapers yourself, who's going to take care of you?

of course i do.
I think my best friend having a baby totally fuked me up. I def don't want one NOW - so I will just enjoy seeing a part time baby. I just wish I could see her more
gotta finish school & work a few years..

i think coming from a hispanic background, i've closely knit to my family. so no.
I'm not sure. Kids love me, and I like them too. But, is life something I'd wish to someone else? Would I want to raise a child? I think I may end up adopting a child that is already in this mess we call world, rather than spawning a couple of brats to replace myself. It's hard to choose a future, let alone choose a life.
So far, I chose not to choose life. The reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you can steal a well known monologue from a European film to illustrate your point?
I am hoping I never have to wear diapers in old age. None of my relatives have had to so far and all have been mentally sound until death, so my chances for a good old age look decent.

| Originally posted by yukii meh, yeah, babies are useless at that stage. after 2 when they can talk, they are obnoxious or think they can fool you with shit & think the world revolves around them & have panic attacks if you don't buy them a doll they fell in love with .20 sec ago. bleh- i don't want to put up with that. |
Yukii should just stfu when adults are talking.
yea as much as my mom drives me nuts, i will never put her in a home. in fact, after i have kids and they are talking and walking, i would have no problem having my mom live with us full time in a guest house and be the nanny so i can still work.
haha, i guess you're right ania.
bc all those kids i babysat were from the army..
don't want shit to hit the fan & say that kids from the army are like that, but hell, almost all i babysat for 98% of the time were like that.
the only kids that were nice & polite & i could play with perfectly were the kids that live in front of me here in the US, not in the army..
who knows, maybe im making another assumption. but if i have kids, it's only going to be one, & i hope he/she turns out like those kids here that i babysat, they're pretty damn awesome, the rest sucked
yeah. don't fuking bother.
even in general psych you learn about child development.
I agree with Ania: Kids are awesome, except for that difficult phase that starts when they're 5 years old and finally ends when they're 60
i babysat tons when i was living in japan on a marine base and the kids were fine
a couple of them were brats but they knew better than to pull that shit with me.
everyone's kids always behave more around me than their parents, it's funny.
the difficult age at 5?
yea right. i'm the most scared of teenage years. THAT is when it gets really tough and they become obnoxious little fucking know-it-alls. lol man my teenage kids are going to HATE me (and then love me later).
idk, i guess kids just aren't for me. what someone might think as 'cute' or 'brightening smile/laughter' i probably wouldn't recognize. lol just being honest here. but for those who love kids, that's awesome, maybe when i grow up more & maybe some maternal instincts kick in my perspective will be different, till now, im good.

I understand caregiver stress and all that, but ffs have people no sense of duty to family anymore? Fucking NA is fucked. I'm glad I was raised by a European. |
