omg it's delish! definitely has a distinct flavor though...a little gamey i guess you could say. but it's really tender and great with some sort of sauce with it like mint jelly or raspberry sauce. i got rack of lamb from whole foods and roasted it and made a raspberry sauce and it melted in my mouth

Rack of lamb FTW. So so so so good. Never made it with raspberry sauce though, I should try that.

yea i forget exactly how i made the sauce but i just winged it. the base of it was raspberry jelly and i think i added some olive oil and spicy brown mustard and some vinegar and seasonings. it was great. put the lamb racks over a bed of mashed potatoes and drizzled the sauce over everything.

actually i have a pic i think hold on lol

Posted by Slylee on Nov-21-2009 22:04:

lol at me trying to be creative at the last minute plating it.

Posted by Sushipunk on Nov-21-2009 22:05:

I can honestly say that I've never had the urge to eat rack of lamb for breakfast...

...before now

Looks good, and now I'm starving

Posted by Ian on Nov-21-2009 22:07:

presentation is a bit kak but it looks nice enough. maybe lacking another vegetable too

Posted by Slylee on Nov-21-2009 22:07:

yea i've never been good at the creativity when plating thing. it's food ffs, it's going in my mouth in 2 seconds after i look at it lol

here's another dish i took a picture of. better than the lamb lol

it's toast with an over easy egg and marinara sauce topped with parmesan. that's basil as the garnish.

Posted by Ian on Nov-21-2009 22:12:

apart from maybe tearing the basil up a tad beforehand, it looks better the first one, I've watched loads of masterchef & chefs like michel roux jr have picked them up on serving the asparagus in that kinda way (some each side of it)

Posted by Slylee on Nov-21-2009 22:24:

yea it's just not something i care about in food. i mean i know it's popular and you want the plate to look appetizing, but it's just not important to me and i laugh at the food network shows when chefs get reamed for presentation, yet it tastes awesome. it's like who f'n cares it tastes great, mission accomplished lol if anything, i would get more satisfaction knowing the person eating my food questioned it on looks alone before trying it and then said it was delish

my grandma has thrown some questionable looking mush on my plate before that was amazing lol

Posted by Slylee on Nov-21-2009 22:25:

btw everyone, jenny sent me a pic text earlier from some food convention she's at...the sign said "Kobe Beef"

Posted by Moongoose on Nov-21-2009 22:50:

Theres free food there right? She must be stuffing herself right now.

Posted by Slylee on Nov-21-2009 22:50:

she had a kobe beef burger. i told her "welcome to the good life"

Posted by Moongoose on Nov-21-2009 22:55:

Kobe been burger? That had to have been one expensive burger.

Posted by Slylee on Nov-21-2009 22:59:

yea they are usually at least $30. lol i would know

Posted by Moongoose on Nov-21-2009 23:02:
