Yeah, it was definitely weird. They are close, so maybe it was orchestrated. She's joked about setting me up with her best friend from high school before, but that all stopped when I started seeing the current girl. So this kind of came out of nowhere.

Who knows, I don't read much into it because girls can't be read.

there are better ways to tell if your s.o. is untrustworthy. subtle tells and cues you can pick up on while you're with him/her like how they treat their family members, how they talk about others in front of them versus behind their back, their intelligence level, their sense of judgment, ego, gratitude, confidence, selfishness and empathy, how often they bend rules, and if they lie, cheat and steal at all. these are all things you should have a degree of confidence about before offering or accepting engagement imo. then again if you are blinded by love or lust or money and just don't see it until after it happens, eventually he/she will slip up and unless you're a moron you'll be able to see it then and end it there. the real question you should be asking yourself though is why would you even consider testing your s.o... clearly your intuition is telling you something is off.
