| Originally posted by MediumCoke damn I was gonna say Akira! It's one of the first movies that got me into cyberpunk. For those who enjoy the genre, look into Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Johnny Mnemonic, BLADE RUNNER (my fav movie of all time) umm that's about it. I never got into those animes that depress you and all. I saw Spirited Away and I was impressed. I didn't like it but I was thoroughly impressed. and umm...yeah other than those Trigun and Cowboy Bebop are good animes...goin back to HK movies real quick, Chow Yun Fat fans should look into the God of Gamblers series if you haven't looked into it yet. S'about it. I'll keep it coming as time progresses |
The best anime of all time has to be Berserk for me. It is the most dark and twisted anime ive ever seen. If you like ninja scrolls check out berserk.

Seppuku is quite good Leif
Just a little switch up from Asian movies. Last night I watched Straw Dogs. Think Clockwork Orange with a dash of The Warriors. I love how the tension is on the rise from the very beginning. Two thumbs up.
I stalk Max Walker's facebook profile

Speaking of clockwork orange.. I sa the movie Bronson last night. They are comparing the twistedness to clockwork orange.

mark wahlberg is BAD ASS in departed... that's all i will say hehehe
still one of the worst actors of all time imo.
Mark Wahlberg will never be a good actor for me as everytime i see a movie with him starring the whole time i got "good vibrations" on loop in my head which ruins it. It was funny though for "The Happening" and "Fear", running after Reese Witherspoon with good vibration playing. Only movie i appreciated with him in it is "Four Brothers". To me he will always be Marky Mark as he still looks pretty much the same.
Donny Wahlberg though sheesh, major change, got no NKOTB tracks in head anyways, maybe just "valentine girl", Cheese made out of sh*t, friggin love it, french people thought about giving up cheese production as this is cheese supreme. Perfect song to kill a date and save yourself, the main thing is to keep a straight face while the song is playing and keeping serious. Nasa probably sent this track in their message to any other existing life form out there, thus preventing any contact with them, ever. Just so you know what im talking about:
i liked a couple movies he was in though.
in 3 kings he played himself as an army guy.
in boogie knights he played himself with a big penis.
in the departed he played himself with a swearing problem.
no range whatsoever.
I have admit, three kings was good. Am i the only one who thinks George Clooney is overrated? Except maybe for Syriana
eye candy for the female dollars.
he was good in staring at goats though. Could not act his way out of a paper bag though.
hollywood is not about good acting, it is about putting people in tabloids into movies for the money.
I JUST SAW BROTHERS
Did not see "staring at goats". will do. Matt Damon over Clooney over Wahlberg. Good upcoming actors are pretty rare too,im sticking with the old ones. Ill hand it to Pitt, he's good. Damon, Denzel for sure, nobody can touch Pacino, freaking amazing, Butler as some potential (bit late at 40 though) nicely done in 300. So-so with Del Toro although i like most of his movies (not so the one with Silverstone). Cant forget Deniro, Pesci is the ultimate mafia movie guy. Mel Gibson if he can drop the booze is a friggin good actor for specific roles, dont know how he'd put up as a bad guy, real life indicates he wouldnt be too bad.
