Russia can blame bad coaching for the loss...had Nabokov come out earlier, (like at 4-1) the Russians would have still had a chance.

I can't complain though...we won, that is all that counts.

also bye bye jagr...both teams played the most boring game of the tourney so far. Glad to see the finns in and the swedes out.

hopefully we can play the US in the final to make it entertaining

utterly disappointed in Russia's showing in almost every discipline, but especially hockey. Medvedev is right to call for those in charge to resign. so much money has been poured into these athletes and they choked.

i'm just glad that saku, jere and teemu (+timonen, jokinen etc) went out as winners. if that usa match would have been their last, well that would have been pretty lame, to say the least. i still can't get over those six goals. no matter how outplayed a team gets, they still only allow 3-4 goals before they pick up.

ps. i'd say that this was the first time in my life where i could actually see bad spirit/chemistry in our national team..

and this was joni "minus infinity" pitkanen's first major tournament.. how queer.
